Lateral jaw bone reduction

zak441777
I am 7 weeks post surgery. I thought I was in good communication w my surgeon about everything we discussed prior to. I do not like my appearance now. In fact, I fear I look worse then before I went in. I still have a very square prominent jaw. Now my mentalist muscle is all balled up leaving a further prominence to my chin (ptosis). This is aggravating!! Is there a surgeon that will please understand and provide insight to what I can do to have an even less square jaw appearance? I am tired of spending so much money and schedule to seek more revision! I still need to get this fixed. The lower part of my face (jaw) just doesn't match the rest of my facial features. Looking very unbalanced. These pictures provided are actually not bad. I notice worse imbalance like when I first wake up in the morning.

IMO, you look fine as is. Perhaps you are not used to the new look. I am not a surgeon...have you come across a surgeon suggesting a set back? This is where the chin bone is cut and is moved down and/or back to reduce the projection of the chin. This could help with the "ball" of the chin you may be concerned with, however, be aware that moving the chin down will lengthen the chin and make your face appear elongated. If you do not like a square chin, are you saying you prefer a narrower chin? Seek a consultation with board certified surgeons for options. Sometimes, when it comes to cosmetic surgery, we are swapping one complaint for another and the cycle can be never-ending. I don't think there is anything wrong with your chin -good luck in making the decision that is best for you.

Not to be rude, but why do you even want a jaw reduction??? Strong jaws are generally considered to be attractive on men. Your chin/jaw looks great as is.

Agreed strong jawlines are incredibly attractive on men.

I think you might want to look into flying out to Korea. I'm pretty sure it was the Koreans who first popularized the jaw reduction. I know for a fact that many Korean celebs get the procedure regularly and most look pretty damn good. But, seriously, you don't look that bad as others already mentioned.

If you feel you should do a revision, then go for it! But, don't rush, take some time to speak with two, three different doctors. Make all questions, ask if it's possible to have a computer model or make sketches on your photos. Keep in mind that you this for yourself, as to other people you look already very handsome!
