THE FACE DENTAL Review (Korean dental clinic)

UPDATED FROM Seoul2019

MY SURGERY DETAILS (technical words)

Dr lee performed
-maxilla (this is the name of upper jaw)
LEFORT 1 OSTEOSTOMY
impaction:4 mm (up)
-lower jaw
BSSRO surgery
-Genioplasty and mandibular shaving (which means vline)
I still have a double chin but since i got huge swelling, i hope it will disapear soon (i'm 2 month post surgery right now).
I highly recommend dr lee if you want a careful safe and thougful surgeon. He took great care of me despite the clinic was crowded sometimes. He is an amazing human being and speaks english.
You can also get pins and plates removal later, you need to wait 6 month and maximum is 2 years i believe because after that the bones fuse.. Price is fair of course

Hello, i live in europe also and want to have surgery in korea. How did u do with your braces?
Hi I didn’t have braces
He did a surgery first protocol

( sorry for late answer)
Hi, may I ask how much was the procedure? Also, can you update us with more pics?
Hi! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience, I think you have nice result. How much did you pay for your surgery? I’m going to proceed my v-line at regen ps with doc Oh Myung June very soon and quite nervous, but pretty sure that will get as good result :)
Omg please be careful. I have read HORRIBLE reviews about him. One poor woman has even life-threatening conditions because of him
Where did you read that?

SURGERY DAY (WITH PICTURES AND XRAY)

My surgery was set for 10 am
I arrived at 9am, I had to wear the surgical suit and put my bad in the changing room.
I went back to tfd office to consult with dr lee again just right before the surgery, it comforted me a lot to see again. After that I went to the surgical room with the manager.
ANNDDD i was put on anesthesia..
I woke up at 1:30 PM.
I was very cold.. pain was manageable.
I asked for more pain killers and a blanket. It was hard to breath and my throat felt so sore.
My first reflex was to take a picture of my face. I had a nasal tube inside my nose and my face was swollen and all covered with tapes..
Bizarrely I felt beautiful lol
Dr lee checked me when I woke up and said all was alright !
I stayed tWo days at the clinic and yea it was tough I can’t deny...
I saw dr lee a lot during my hospitals stay and I was happy to see him to ask about all my concerns.
it was really hard to breath because my mouth was shut with rubbers bands and my nose was full of blood clots..
Fortunately they let a tiny gap between your teeth to be able to breath through your mouth
My mouth was not totally shut so
Nurses use suction to help you to breath and remove all the blood you have inside nose and throat. it helps a lot and you can ask them to do it when you have too much blood..
It’s not an easy recovery.. when they remove the nasal tube from your nose it’s ok.
I was discharged with plenty of medication. I saw dr lee again before leaving and he shutted my mouth totally with rubbers.
I walked because my location was not that far
But the weather was very hot so it was difficult... when finally back home I slept an entire day..
when I woke up my first concern was to eat and take my medication because my mouth was totally shut
Dr lee helped me by pilling some of my pain killers ! It was very helpful !
Other days had been rough not because of pain but because it was hard to eat. I went to tfd very regurlarly to keep my stitches and wafer cleaned .
I liked the fact to be able to go to the clinic very often and get in touch with dr lee. He is very kind and comforted me a lot.
I also got deswelling treatment when i went to the clinic.
When I had to come back to my country I saw him the day before and the morning before my flight
I was scared to get problems with the flight but all went very well.
I’m still able to contact him if I have any trouble with my surgery on Skype or Facebook !
I share some pics of my results

I hope it helped some of you

ARRIVING IN KOREA

First of all
I came all alone in Korea, so some aspect of my experience can be biased by this fact.
I arrived on Monday in the morning, I had to wait a long time at airport because my accommodation was not ready... which annoyed me a lot, I could not prepared myself for the consultation...
when I finally arrived I had one hour to wash myself and be rdy to see dr lee and get blood test.
Honestly doing blood test the day you arrive is not a good idea. I was so tired and forgot to bring with me my « expectations paper » where I have put all my expectations and problems to dr lee.
The consultation went well
Dr lee asked me all my expectations, we watched the previous pictures we did and X-ray, all was ok
After that, I did blood test, dental mold
I had also to do a chest X-ray in another clinic, because dental clinics don’t have the appropriate stuff.
I was a bit lost but it’s not difficult, just find the COFFEE BEAN and go to the second floor ( remember that, it will help you ). I had to ask to someone on the street lol. This clinic is specialized in X-ray, you will have to be top less but they are all girls so no worry, they were very friendly
At the end of the day I was very tired but also very impressed by all the test I passed before the surgery Next day was free, I had time to change my currency, make a liquid food reserv and prepare my surgery bag.

What I call SURGERY BAG is the bag I bring to the clinic lol
I will describe what I bring :
\\\\i will stay 2 days at clinic ///
-extra Liquid food in case of needing
-water tiny bottle
-mask and sunglasses to cover your face
-straw
-sleep mask
-neck pillow
-a lot of tissue and wet tissue
-coton pads to wash your face
-skincare to wash your face
-phone tablet and battery
-nasal spray
- water spray (to humidify the mouth because it will be very dry)
-lip balm (lips will be very dry)
- new shirt and panty
