3 Month Review

Three months and one week post procedure. I now have visible bands in my neck which also has a deep gap in between.

I did not have this before.

I will update this post monthly to see if there is any improvement.

I’m now 4 months and 1 week post opp.

No improvement. If anything it looks worse and it is becoming harder to cover up as the weather gets warmer.

I had this done because I have an important event coming up and I will now have to attend the event with my neck like this.

I had a consultation with Centre for Surgery in London who advised I will need a corset Platysmaplasty to correct this as too much fat has been removed from the centre.

I spoke with my patient co-coordinator Irma when I was approaching 3 months and showed a photo and a video of my neck asking for advice, they asked me to keep massaging and said I could be given a neck lift if needed.

I asked them to refund me if I am going to need an additional surgery and they just asked me to keep massaging it.

I’m very upset as my neck is worse now than it was a month ago and the thought of having to have more surgery and pay more money to correct it is stressful. If I have to have a corrective surgery the total amount spent will then be a lot more than if I had just had the surgery in London to begin with.

I would like to add that the after care and transfers, hotels etc were great and really seamless. It is just my results that I am not happy with.

I will update again in a month.

Mine looks like that too unfortunately. I got my chin lipo done 2 months ago. The doctor used j-plasma Renuvion and I think that’s what caused this issue. I’m also 32 yrs and this has literally ruined my neck.

I don’t think they are platysmal bands, atleast that’s what I’ve been able to determine from my neck. They are scar tissues/fibrosis cords that form and the skin has retracted back in this usual way. Im currently still trying massages and no luck yet breaking them up. Down the road my next option at 6 months would probably be kenalog steroid injections on the bands to see if that helps at all. The issue is those steroid injection have other side effects like skin indentation and discoloration that can occur. But hopefully yours is doing better.

I agree, those are fibroses bands. I have them in the same way. Massages don’t help… only time im afraid…

I'm sorry you don't like the results of your lipo but I think your neck looks fine! I see people with those types of necks naturally and don't think anything of it. Its better than double chins!

I had chin liposuction with Dr Salih Onur Basat in December 2023. I was booked in for chin liposuction and a mini face lift. However as this was done over WhatsApp I thought there would be a consultation, in person, before surgery for him to advise if after looking at my face, he felt it was still appropriate. For context I was in my very early 30s.

On the morning of the surgery not having seen Dr Basat I felt anxious about the mini facelift and it was definitely going to be too aggressive for me age and face. When he came in to see me about 1 hour or less before surgery I told him I didn’t want to go through with the mini facelift and his tone was annoyed and pushy. He said he would do a smaller lift around my eyebrows for some reason and I felt I had to go through with it. To this day I have no idea what he did to my eyebrows as there is no change but I had significant bruising and two black eyes.

As for my chin liposuction. I am now botched. I have a deep concave gap in my neck. I have sought advice from Harley street plastic surgeons who advised this result is from too aggressive fat removal revealing the platysma bands and further surgery is obviously required to help minimise the appearance. As a plastic surgeon Dr Salih Onur Basat should have know this was a possibility and explained this to me and advised that a Neck Lift or Platysmaplasty would be required. Instead his assistant tried to sell me a laser procedure to go with the surgery about 20 minutes before I went into surgery, leaving me no time to educate myself on what this treatment consists of, leaving me unable to make an informed decision on weather to go with it. Laughably they were happy to offer me the laser procedure for another few thousand but they would be able to take card for that, however over £6,000 for the procedure had to be provided in cash.

On another note, regarding selling of additional procedures and products, when I was leaving his assistant tried to sell me scar cream for my scar, citing that Dr Salih Onur Basat recommended it. I had endoscopic liposuction, the scar under my chin is tiny. It felt like they were just trying to sell whatever they could.

Beware!! I’m over £6,000 thousand down and require surgery to rectify this. Harley street quoting £8,000-9,000. With travel expenses on top of the +£6,000 it’s not worth it.

Hi, may I ask if it got better. I had mine done last week on Harley Street and I'm left with lumps and bumps. Probably need a neck lift after it heals fully. Thanks for letting me know where you are. I hope you found a solution.
