Since I'm traveling to the US for this procedure, I've scheduled it way ahead of time, and my consultation/pre-op will be done on the same day when I get to town. Check out Swanson's guide to the procedure on his website– it's so informative.
My goal is a well-defined jawline and neck. Even when I was super skinny, I was plagued with a full under-chin. I know it's subtle, but the fullness drives me nuts. My jawline is obscured somewhat by this fullness, and I'm looking forward to flattening my under-chin slope. I think the sides of my neck need attention too. I also want to try addressing my submental glands and prevention of jowling.
Swanson might also excise fat under the neck muscle (lipectomy). He also often performs a muscle repair/tightening called a corset platysmaplasty at at the same time, for the best result concerning neck contour by manipulating the underlying anatomy. So, this is why I chose him as my surgeon.
