Hello Realselfers,
I am 27 years old, and I've always had this double chin no matter how much weight I would lose. After doing research for over a year, I felt like lipo would be my best option.
I found Dr. Sterry here on Real Self and after all the wonderful reviews I decided he would be the best doctor for me. His website is very informative, as well as his gallery of before and afters.
I went in for a consultation about 3 weeks ago, Dr. Sterry and his staff were amazing. During my consultation Dr. Sterry explained everything about the procedure I was interested in, as well as the other options available. After the consult with the Doctor I filled out the paperwork, and paid for the procedure.
I had my lipo done this afternoon. When I first arrived I met with Dr. Sterry, and again he explained the procedure and had me fill out additional paperwork. I decided I was going to take the Xanax & Percocet. The doctor gave me some antibiotics and 15 minutes later I was in the OR.
Now the procedure itself was very tolerable. I'm the biggest baby when it comes to things like this, and honestly the pain wasn't as bad as I thought. The worst part was when they put the anesthetic in, but again very tolerable.
I can't wait to see the results.
I will keep updating as the days go by. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

So it's been about 3 days since I had the procedure. I'm feeling a bit sore and stiff, but nothing too crazy. I'm not seeing much of a difference just yet, I am very swollen and I have slight bruising I would upload a pic but like I said not much of difference.

After the doctor used the laser to melt the fat, did you have the fat extraction afterwards? Or just the laser part? I'm asking as there are two types of Smart Lipo available :)

I'm still very swollen and I haven't noticed any changes. My chin looks about the same as before. Guess I have to give it some time.

Hi there. I just had my procedure done yesterday and am also very swollen! How are you getting on? Has your swelling subsided yet?

I'm still swollen and sore. It's sort of getting lumpy now, but I've been massaging the area and applying some heat pads. The chin is definitely looking better day by day, just waiting for it to be how I want it. Good luck and wear your garment :)

Thanks Ang. I found the garment really uncomfortable, so I left it off last night and woke up to find my face the size of a balloon! So I'm going to sleep in it tonight. Did you get any itching? My chin is so itchy like an allergy. I just took an antihistamine. You need to post some pics! I also had buccaneers fat removal at the same time x

Been a few days and I can't say I'm that happy. I see no difference as of yet. I'm patiently waiting to see the end result. I have no pain at all, I do have some Brusing on my neck, as expected. I'll keep updating as the days go by.

I am a few days ahead of you - I had my chin lipo on Feb 17th. I still have quite a bit of swelling. My bruising is finally gone (10 days post op). I noticed my swelling went up a little since I'm not wearing my compression garment 24/7 anymore. How is your swelling today?
February 28, 2017
I'm still wearing my garment even though the doctor said 4 days once I get home I strap back it on. I'm still swollen/sore, and I haven't seen much change to my double chin yet hoping I start seeing changes soon. I think you should continue wearing the garment as much as you can. How are you liking your results?
