1. Consultation:

I went in for an in-person consultation to confirm if I wanted to get the surgery or not, as I was staying in Korea for a longer period of time. My consultation was a very positive experience and convinced me to get the liposuction, as the clinic was very clean and professional-looking, the translator they provided was very thorough, and the Korean doctor conducted a good analysis of my face. I was particularly happy that they looked into how to also improve my facial symmetry with the liposuction, and I overall felt that they took my concerns seriously, were experienced in how to make someone look beautiful, and didn't try to push me to get unnecessary additional procedures. By the way, they also offer online consultation if you are from abroad, like me and can only be in Korea for a short time.

2. Surgery (Double chin and jawline lipo) / ?? (????? + ?? ????)

The surgery itself went very smoothly. I was nervous, but the translator helped calm me down. The clinic provided comfortable PJs for the procedure and took “before” photos. The anesthesia worked quickly, and I didn’t feel any pain when waking up. After the procedure, they let me rest in a heated recovery bed until I was ready to leave. I even managed to take a 1.5-hour metro ride back to my hotel by myself, so recovery right after surgery was manageable

3. Recovery

For recovery, I wasn't allowed to shower for three days, and after that, I still couldn't get the surgical area under my chin wet for a week, so washing my hair was rough. Other than that, I had to wear a compression garment for 24 hours for a week and gradually less afterward. Honestly, if I had to give one critique, they should switch the compression garment, as it really hurt—actually more than the surgery itself (it really hurt my ears, but I might just be sensitive). So as you can tell from that, pain was really manageable, and they also provided me with painkillers and antibiotics, which allowed me to go back to eating immediately after the surgery. But you will not be able to open your mouth very wide in the beginning, and softer food is preferable for maybe around two weeks. As for going back into the public, for the initial week, you can cover up the compression garment pretty well with a hat and a mask; after two weeks, you will be fine going out, and after three weeks, people in my case were not really able to tell I got the surgery done.

4. Results:

As for my results and overall thoughts, I feel prettier than before and don't regret getting the surgery; you can definitely see a difference, and it was cheaper and more professional than in my home country. The surgery undoubtedly boosted my confidence, but if I am completely satisfied with the results, I think I will only be able to tell at the tree month mark, so I might update this. But for my overall thoughts, I would really recommend Girin, as they are very advanced in their technique, good at figuring out what suits your face, and so far I feel a lot better about myself than before the surgery.

Update:

So it has been around five months now and the swelling has completely gone down and my chin area feels normal again (it was kind of sore for the first four months). Also the scar under my chin has faded to the point that it is pretty hard to spot, and I think this will be even better with a bit of time (the scars behind the ears are completely invisible now). So to conclude on my experience i would say I'm glad I did the surgery at Girin and do not regret it, as the process was professional and without complications and while my jawline is still not super sharp, as I have week bone structure it is much more visible and my face looks more harmonious overall. Therefore, I'm very satisfied to report that this surgery helped with my self-confidence, and Girin was the perfect place to get it. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get a natural jawline lipo with good results that also takes your individual facial features into account to give you the best results for your particular face.

Update (6 months):

At the six-month mark, I can confidently say that my results have fully settled. My chin and jawline look natural, balanced, and consistent, with no residual swelling or tightness. The scar under my chin has continued to fade and is now barely noticeable, blending in almost completely with my skin. What I really like is that the results don’t look “surgical” but just enhance my natural features, which was exactly what I wanted. The area feels completely normal to the touch—no soreness or numbness anymore—and I honestly forget I even had surgery most days until I see old photos. Looking back, this was absolutely the right decision for me. My jawline is sharper than before, my face looks slimmer, and my overall confidence is much higher. I’m very happy with my outcome and would recommend Girin without hesitation for anyone considering chin and jawline lipo.
