Chin and Neck Lipo - 34 yr old with Fibromyalgia & Protein S Deficiency
I've consulted with two doctors in Beverly Hills who had wildly different pricing. I told them my main concerns were healing and pain due to fibromyalgia and also Protein S Deficiency which makes me more susceptible to blood clots. I bruise extremely easily, - I ALWAYS have bruises all over my legs and have no idea where they came from.
First was Dr. Michael Churukian who was very kind and spent and lot of time with me. Tania in the front office was really friendly too. He specializes ONLY in faces which gave me confidence in him. Didn't try to up sell me on anything and even advised against any kind of radiofrequency skin tightening because he said the heat involved can cause more inflammation. He showed me befores and afters of past patients and his work was really impressive. He seems like a longtime professional, but I'm also concerned that maybe his techniques are a little old school. He would be making four punctures, one behind each ear and two under my chin and recommended a tiny bit of fat transfer to my chin to contour it a little more.He also noticed my buffalo hump that's been bothering me and offered to include that in his quote which came out to about $5000 for all the procedures together. One bummer though is that they don't use to email very much, they just have a canned response telling you to call the office. It's difficult for me to make calls during work hours unfortunately. The other Dr I had a virtual consultation with was Dr. Justin Yovino. He was really thorough about explaining the procedure and it was easy to make my consultation appt online. However I felt he was pushing me on Renuvion radiofrequency skin tightening and said it's the technique and not the procedure itself that can cause healing problems. He also said he would only make 3 punctures. His work looks great but my quote from him was around $12,500 for neck/chin lipo, buffalo hump removal and Renuvion. He also doesn't seem to specialize in one area, but does a bit of everything and that's something I have to take into consideration. I'd like to get a few more quotes and consults before I take the plunge but I'm excited to be starting his journey!
