Good Job for Chin Lipo, but Wouldn't Choose for Future Surgeries

I had selected Dr.Schierle for my chin and face liposuction procedure. Overall, I am pleased with the results. What I do not recommend is the aftercare procedure and instructions (or lack there of) that followed with my appointment. The procedure occurred in 1.5 hours (or so), and I did it on a Friday to be able to attend work the next week. Afterwards, I was wrapped with a simple bandage wrap and told to return for a follow-up the next 2 weeks. I wasn't given any instructions, signs to watch out for in case of infection or anything.

For my aftercare, I did my OWN research via youtube and online to understand the best practices to progress my healing. This included ordering my own facial strap online (because all I was given was a bandage wrap), and learning facial + neck techniques to avoid complications or any potential swelling or fibrosis. I understand that this procedure is the most common these days and fairly simple, but as someone who's gotten prior surgeries done (including body lipo and reconstruction); my surgeon was extremely diligent throughout aftercare and always provided detailed instructions and signs to watch out for.

In my after care appointment two weeks later, I arrived to my appointment on time, waited 1 hour in the room for Dr. S to see me. I was greeted well by him and a resident physician who was training with him. I didn't really appreciate that she was also touching my face (without permission) to see my results.

All in all, I'm very glad I had the liposuction done. However, in the future I would go with another surgeon (or perhaps my former surgeon) for any future procedures.
