Chin liposuction

I have been contemplating chin lipo since I was 16 years old. My double chin has always been something I’ve been self conscience about and that started from a very early age. Both my mom and dad have thicker chins..my brother, however does not (lucky duck). I have struggled with my weight my whole life, further adding to my insecurity regarding my chin. Regardless of how much weight I lost or would lose, my chin was always there. I would cringe when my friends or family members tagged me in photos or I caught a glimpse of myself in a video or photo I was unaware of being taken. In 2007, my dad decided to have liposuction on his chin. Weeks after his surgery, he looked so good and so much younger, that I knew I wanted to have mine done one day. The only things holding me back were the downtime from work and the cost. In addition to lipo, I also considered Kybella. The thing that really appealed to me about Kybella was that it was non-surgical and took 30 minutes to do. After much research, I actually scheduled an appointment for Kybella for May 4th. Upon making my appointment, I once again went back and forth on my decision, wondering if it was indeed the best option. After even more extensive research, I decided to ultimately cancel that appointment due to the fact that the cost was roughly the same as chin liposuction and I had read that the pain and swelling just weren’t worth it. Not to mention that it took up to 3 treatments...so I would have had to go through the pain and swelling three times over..I finally decided to go through with chin Lipo on Monday, May 7th. I took a week off work and so far, I’m very happy with the results. I’m only on day 4 post-op and still have mild swelling and light bruising. I have had no complications. The most annoying part has been wearing the compression garment around my chin/neck/head, which honestly hasn’t even been that bad. Overall, I am very happy with my decision.

Overall rating

I received chin liposuction and Botox from Dr. Malouf. He was so professional, kind, courteous, and gentle throughout the entire procedure. His staff is warm, professional, and treat you like you’re family. I do not live in the area and Linda was able to work with me and do everything by phone prior to my appointment. Aubrey informed me about all my medications and educated me on how and when to take them, in addition to making me feel very relaxed the day of my surgery. I look forward to using Dr. Malouf again and am so thrilled with my results. If you’re looking for a great, educated doctor and friendly staff, who make you feel at home, look no further.
