Post Op 4 Weeks and Concerns About Swelling and Healing in Mouth

Just had a chin implant and neck lipo operation 4 weeks ago and I’ve been concerned with the swelling inside my mouth. I also feel like incision is sticking to my gums and creating tightness inside my mouth, making it hard to smile. I ask my doctor but he tells me it’s normal to wait till swelling goes down to assess. Wonder if anyone has had this issue. Besides that … I really love my results. It looks amazing !!! I just want to smile and eat normal again.
Timeline about my healing experience:
During surgery: No idea I was going to be awake during procedure. Scared as heck but it actually wasn’t bad. Felt touching and tugging on face but no pain. Like a c-section.
After surgery: in post op for 2 hours . Feeling fine , no pain . Ready to get out of there and go home. Head is wrapped up like head trauma victim . My lips and face are bit swollen and all weird and stretched out but meh not too bad.
Next day: Looking alright, not too swollen or much pain . On pain meds tho. Sleeping elevated. Drinking plenty liquid and broth. Took off head wrap and wearing faja . Looking cute . Thinking this ain’t bad at all.
3rd Day: and the real swelling begins … I was feeling soo good that I decided to take a 2 mile walk . Came back and my face started doubling in size . Started freaking out but apparently it’s normal . Shouldn’t have walked that much tho. Avoid sun .
4th: super swelling
5th day: more swelling
6th day: huge bottom bubba lip swelling
7th day: not cute swelling
During 2 week: doubting whether the implant was going to leave me looking masculine or if it was just swelling . (It was swelling)
Week 3: swelling going down and looking better but had a stressful week and my swelling flared up bad. Do not stress!! You will swell! If you had neck lipo you better massage every day at least 3 or more times a day or you will get ugly bumps called fibrosis. I have some . I working them out now. Wear faja as much as possible !!!
Week 4: my chin is still swollen , my gums look swollen and pale pink even though I brush 2 x a day and listerine . I’ve done another round of antibiotics just because I was so scared I thought I had an infection. But I don’t think I do. It’s just swelling
So now I guess I remain patient and wait for the swelling to go down.
By the way . I also got top lip filler and filler in my frown lines . Made a huge difference ! I love it!!
