I will be having a consultation with Dr. Regina Rodman of Houston on July 5th 2018 for a chin augmentation. If you are anything like me, you cannot get enough of you before and after pictures. So I have decided to go ahead and share my before pictures with you all. Can't wait to get this going. I will also be including photos of my chin with Restylane Lyft. The Restylane has now dissolved but it gave me a good idea of what my chin will look like. The difference for me is huge.

Consultation with Dr. Rodman.

Okay, so I went to the consultation with dr. Rodman. I decided not to use her as my care provider for a few reasons. Below are listed the good and bad reasons.
The good: she schedules be chin implant procedure to be an hour and 45 minutes in the operating room to ensure that she has the time she needs to perfectly pocket the candidates Chin for the implant. She said she would rather over-scheduled the time needed the not schedule enough, and not be fully confident with her work. Another thing I like about dr. Rodman is that she cares greatly for her patient's Comfort before, during, and after the procedure. While most doctors opted for "Twilight" Anastasia, dr. Rodman enlists the help of a well known, and trusted anesthesiologist who puts the patient completely under anesthesia. she says this makes the procedure much less painful for the patient, and the patient recovers quicker for the surgery.
The bad: dr. Rodman will not carve or shape the silicone implant in any way. She prefers to insert the chin implant as it came from the factory. In my opinion, that is like placing a dr. Scholl's pad in your shoe without cutting it first.
I will be scheduling consultation this week with dr. David Perlman of Houston who has thirty years of experience, and has performed for chin implants this month alone. His receptionist gave me a quote for surgery which is $4, 500, the same as dr. Regina Rodman.

Back to Dr. Rodman

I've considered several other doctors but at this point, I don't trust any of them. I've decided to go with Dr.Rodman. Though she prefers not to carve implants, I trust her eye and I am confident she will send me out looking better than when I arrived. The fact that she over-blocks time in the OR is a turn-on for me. Here is what I love about Dr.Rodman so far:
•She takes time in the OR. Most doctors promise a procedure time of roughly 45 minutes. Dr. Rodman blocks the procedure to be 1h 45min. She says this will allow her time to perfectly form a pocket for the implant. She claims that the procedure will more than likely take much less time to preform and any time unaccounted for will result in money back in my pocket.
• She has hand picked a very experienced anesthetist which she uses for every procedure. His name is Dr. Shapiro. The procedure will be done under general anesthesia rather than twilight anesthesia. This means I will be fully under and not awake. This will also redice next-day nausea and can speed up the healing process.
•Experience. Dr. Rrodman specializes in craniofacial surgery. Craniofacial surgery is a surgical subspecialty that deals with congenital and acquired deformities of the head, skull, face, neck, jaws and associated structures. Basically, she is a fecial expert and knows how to work around the very sensitive mental nerves.
•Honest pricing. She hits my budget sweet-spot at an estimated $3500 for the procedure. This includes OR and anesthesia fees.
•Office staff. Though lower in my list of must-haves, Dr. Rodman has a wonderful office staff.
What's next?
I'll be scheduling an appointment to have my Restylane Lyft "melted out". I'm not sure of the technical lingo but there's basically means that she will inject a solution which will dissolve the filler that is currently in my chin. After 2 weeks of dissolving, I'll be good to go for my procedure. I plan on having the procedure performed next month, sometime on or after the 17th.

people mention anything about you looking differently? That last picture is a HUGE improvement and looks nothing like the first. I feel like the difference would be hard not to notice haha
