Chin implant & neck lipo after years of filler
WORTH IT$10,000
I had been getting injectable fillers of various types for nearly a decade, and knew that at one point I wanted to get the actual surgical chin augmentation with an implant. Over the years I even got braces to see if that would improve my jaw projection but it didn’t get me to where I wanted to be. I decided I wanted to move forward with surgery, and I didn’t care where the surgeon was located- I just wanted to find THE chin surgeon. Someone who specializes in this procedure. It made me nervous because even a slightly disproportionate chin has the potential to look really bad. In my research I found Dr Dhir in Beverly Hills, CA. I loved all the work I saw of his and appreciated the way he explained is artistic process. I’m now three days post op and am very happy and confident I made the right choice. I’m excited for the swelling to begin to reduce over the next days/weeks, but even this early I’m enjoying my new profile! I’ll continue to update as things start to settle.

Feeling very well overall! Right from the beginning this hasn’t been a significantly painful procedure- definitely the first two days were pretty sore but tolerable with pain meds. At my 24 hour follow up we noticed the left side of my mouth wasn’t moving when I smile, which hopefully is temporary... my smile was always one of my favorite physical attributes. I’m trying not to overthink it or I’ll go crazy but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous. I’m a public speaker for a living so being expressive is important. That said, I feel like the severity has decreased with my doctor writing me a steroid prescription to help with the swelling, so this further comforts me in knowing it will likely self resolve. Outside of that, I love my new profile! I feel like my front view is a little wide/round but I know much of that is swelling and will take time to narrow out so I’m trying my best to be patient. I’ve been taking baths and using the shower head to wash my hair without wetting my incision, and using a washcloth to wash my face. My steri strips are starting to look funky so I’m excited to get those taken off soon. I’ve been taking Arnica tablets and Bromelain supplements to help speed the bruises healing. I stopped using Arnica gel because I feel like my skin was getting irritated from it. My lips are also still pretty swollen and bumpy, but I know they’ll start to settle in here shortly too.

Hi! I had my chin Implant and neck lipo on Nov 15! My smile hasn't returned yet either and my Dr doesn't even want me to work on it until after I see him again this next week. I understand exactly how you feel. Your progress looks great so far, please keep us posted on your recovery!

Healing is coming along well. Spoke with Dr Dhir today for a quick touch base, and it was nice catching up and he reassured me that the swelling in experience will go down fairly significantly over the next weeks to months. I know that logically but it’s still hard not to feel a little stressed and get in my head about it. He definitely helped put my mind at ease. I removed the steri strips and was supposed to get my sutures out today (by my friend who is a surgeon, since I traveled to CA for my surgery) but ended up not being able to make it so I’m going to tomorrow. I’m still not able to fully smile on my left side and I’m really hoping that goes back to normal soon... overall I’m very happy with how everything is looking and I’m doing my best to be patient with my healing and recovery :) I have to keep perspective that it’s only been a week and I’m shocked it’s healing as fast as it is!!

Thank you. I am scheduled for local anesthesia and was going to ask about that.

I’ve done a tummy tuck with Local anethesia and IV sedation. I did my chin, eyes and nose, (check out my profile) with general anethesia

I am a little nervous about only using local for chin implant and neck lipo. But my doctor assures me that this is very safe and comfortable.

I’m sure your physician wouldn’t steer you wrong :) Clearly they must have experience doing it so I’d say as long as your trust them, it’ll be fine.
