I found Platinum Plastic Surgery right here on realself.com. I had been searching for a doctor in Las Vegas to do my chin augmentation/neck lipo and hadn't had great consultation experiences with the few doctors I met.
After reading all the wonderful reviews about Platinum and Dr. Costa, I thought it would be worth a try to do another consultation. His office charges $250 for a consult, which is applied to your procedure if you go forward. I thought this was actually a good way to screen clients because it meant people would be serious about what they wanted done. Other places I've been to honestly heard people through like a mill, so this felt more high end.
Fast forward to my consultation - walked in to the office and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Of all the surgeon offices I've been to, this was the only one that struck me as immaculately decorated. I felt like I was walking into a shop on Rodeo Dr! The staff immediately offered me water and a gift bag which made me feel super special.
My consultation began with Dr. Costa's assistant who took amazing high-tech images of me to assess where I'm at jaw/chin wise. Dr. Costa came in and was the nicest guy - knowledgable, down to earth, NOT salesman-like at all, which was refreshing. Dr. Costa was certain he could deliver the results I was hoping for with a chin augmentation and neck lipo, and didn't try to make me get other unnecessary work done. I even tested him, asking about buccal fat removal or hairline advancement, to which he stated was completely unnecessary for me. Win!!
My consultation went so well that I decided to book my surgery right away. I returned to the office for my pre-op appointment with Amber who discussed all the pre and post care (vitamins, prescriptions, etc). I felt completely prepared for my procedure and truly supported by the staff in case anything were to happen.
As for the actual procedure - it was amazing!! We did the procedure awake, under oral sedation. When I say I didn't feel a thing, I mean it! I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep halfway through. The healing process was EZPZ, so long as I followed my after-care paperwork. Of all my surgeries (cancer survivor here!), this had to be the easiest to heal from.
I'm now almost 2 weeks post op and can say that I am ECSTATIC with my results!! My only regret is that I didn't find Dr. Costa years ago and had this procedure done back when I started researching doctors. Thank you to Platinum Plastic Surgery for a stellar experience!!
