Disappeared After 1 Month

My motivations for having chin filler were the following: bone loss from aging and a slight overbite. I also have jowls now, but I didn't expect the chin filler to make a large impact on jowls.

I had a total of 4 vials over a period of 6 months; one vial per visit. Each vial looked amazing when I left the clinic, although I had wicked bruises. The first bruise lasted for 2 weeks, then I realized that my red light/near IR device could cut the bruise duration down to 7 to 10 days.

I understand that filler needs "time to settle in" and that the initial swelling is not the final effect of the filler, but the filler was completely gone after a month. We tried different fillers to see which one would work best for me. First we tried RHA2, then I think we switched to Juvederm Voluma.

I definitely do not recommend chin filler--it doesn't last and you will need several vials to get the effect that you want. I think the only circumstance in which I'd recommend chin filler is if you have an event and needed the look for a short period of time, but make sure that you get it done two weeks before to give time for the bruises to heal.

Honestly, I don't know how to deal with my tiny chin. I was thinking about a chin implant, but reviews for that are even worse than filler. Right now I'm in the process of trying Sculptra all over the face and I'm very impressed with the results so far, but my chin still needs to be dealt with.
