Having a Full Revision TT with MR,lipo of Abdomen and Flanks

Did they surgeon ever mention why the results weren't ideal? Did you get back to exercise too soon? Please let me know!

I’ve been told that the muscle repair didn’t hold.
New dr is doing a layer of permanent sutures followed by another layer of dissolvable sutures.

Torey, I am Trying to not stress as much this time around.

To be honest the next day after surgery my stomach wasn’t flat then either . I was Told I could Start slightly jogging on the treadmill at almost 4 weeks post op . Kinda wish I hadn’t. I feel That was to early . I felt Something weird one time while on the treadmill and called the office because it felt as if a rubber band had been let loose in my belly . No pain at all . They said oh your fine they won’t come undone .. well I beg To differ ! I just don’t think the first surgeon had a good technique on muscle repair

Hopefully this will make sense, because i am drugged up .Thank you again for checking on me . Surgery only took a little over two hrs .We are back at the apartment we rented in downtown Chicago . Would recommend this place to anyone . I was In a lot of pain right after which was making me slightly sick they made sure they gave me so much stuff in my Iv and the patch behind my ear to keep that from happening .. I couldnt Stop shaking before or a bit after.. that’s all from the anesthesia I’m sure .its crazy I have Such a high pain tolerance but a very very weak stomach lol .. the nurse Kelly the anesthesiologists and the recovery nurse are so awesome!! Dr Shifrin is so sweet and caring also . He said he was going to take pictures during surgery of what he removed and what I looked Like after.. I havent Saw it yet . He told my husband that I DO NOT Have a vertical incision, which is huge to me . I was So worried about not having enough skin . My hips from lipo are so swollen already and bruised horribly.. II’ve I cant wait to see it and I will Definitely make sure I post Pictures . I want You to be at ease you are in good hands .

You look Fabulous !!! I'm so happy for you! I know I can't expect same results as yours since you are taller and slimmer than I. Do you have 1 or 2 drains because on the pictures I only see one drain? What did the doctor say about previous surgery?

Did Dr. Shifrin tell you why he only used one drain? I wonder if he is going to use 2 on me? Did they let you know about your lab results before they called you with your surgery time? I am asking because I will be out of country until next Sunday so Idk if I should call them just in case if they won't be able to reach me.

I actually never got my results or even asked about my bloodwork . I guess If there would have been something wrong they would have called or told me
I asked Dr Shifrin at my pre op appointment how many drains did he think I would Have and he said one . I didnt ask why only one . I just Assumed that’s what he did with all of his patients.
I would Call them, so that can be one less thing to worry about

Your results look so good. I had a TT 3 years ago and not fully satisfied with the results. I've considered a revision, but terrified of putting my body through that again. Please keep sharing pics and details regarding your recovery.
