4 months two weeks and 5 days post op!!!

I am so happy with my results!!!Not much has changed over the last month . Workouts are getting easier, so glad to be back running with no issues. Still not able to do yoga yet, I just can’t do some of the moves comfortably. It’s driving me crazy, because I don’t like the word can’t and I love yoga!!!
I have had some weird bladder issues since surgery, still not sure if maybe catheter or just antibiotics caused a couple Uti’s. Or if maybe I’ve been tightened pretty good and it’s changed the placement of my bladder. Still having some slight issues but things are definitely improving and my dr doesn’t seemed to be concerned .Im trying really hard not think it’s the worst .like the C word and surgery opened a can of worms. I tend to go to worst case scenario.
Okay on to a good note ! I’m super excited about my new tummy. Each month I keep seeing it get better an better . Swelling in the upper abdomen was so horrible around 3 months ,but has been so much better in the 4th month barely even notice it anymore .
I cant wait for swimsuit weather !! I haven’t said that since I was 17 yr old !! So I have like 20 new bikinis for this summer !!
I hope everyone is enjoying their new tummy’s and also to all the newbies its going to be okay. It’s not as bad as it sounds or seems. you are going to be very happy you did it !!!

3 months and 1 day post op

I did happen to get two uti back to back last month. I’ve had one uti my entire life and to get two back to back, has made me wonder if it wasn’t something to do with the catheter.???? Other than that everything else seems to be going very smoothly
Swelling in my upper abdomen seems to be a little bit of an issue for me and it mainly happens after a meal and most definitely at the end of the day . Sometimes I panic and think my stomach is going to go right back to what it was before lol! I so Hope that never happens !!! I was Cleared to stop wearing my garment at 6 weeks .I will go a few days without it, but I havent Not worn it to work and most definitely wear it during my workouts . Regarding workouts I’m still only running on the treadmill. I’m doing some workouts that involve weights and I haven’t used any weights over 10lbs . I have Done no ab workouts I’m to afraid of messing something up .Still have not been able to return to yoga class . I’m just not ready for the updog. I’m very thankful for all the support and advice I get From all my RealSelf friends. I hope everyone is having smooth recovery .

10weeks post op

I feel great ,super excited about my new belly. My weight seems so fluctuate between 131 and 135.
Im usually a outdoor runner, but weather in good ole Illinois has kept me inside on the treadmill. I’ve bumped myself up to 30 to 40 min on the treadmill daily . I do Intervals for 20 min and the rest is doing a lot of uphill training . I’m also doing butt exercises and a lot of arm exercises with just 8lb weights . Don’t see ab exercises anytime soon. I keep hearing that doing planks are a big no no after a tummy tuck ???
I’ve not been to yoga class yet, I want To just nervous about a lot of the twisting and you use your core so much.
I Definitely wear my compression garment while doing any workouts . To be honest I’ve been told I can stop wearing it period, but I just can’t seem too . I have Went without it a few times for an entire day, I do Have a little more swelling without it .
Scar therapy has mainly been a lot of vitamin E,mederma and cocunut oil. I’ve done some silicon scar tape it seemed to do really well, but for some reason I just don’t like keeping that tape on there lol . Overall I feel great and so excited about my new tummy and so glad I made The decision to do it again !!!
