Overall rating

I should have had my gynecomastia procedure 10 years ago! Instead, I waited to give myself a 50th birthday present. Since I was a teenager, I've had unwanted male breast tissue making it uncomfortable to go without a shirt. The gynecomastic procedure has really improved my look and confidence. If you have male breasts, you really need to consider getting this procedure. You will not regret it. If you live in the Chicagoland area, it is worth your time to come to Lagrange or Chicago, IL to consult with Dr. Kouris. He and his staff have been 100% 5-star worthy. As a professional working in a hospital, I am very careful and critical when it comes to choosing my health care providers. Dr. Kouris has the training and experience you can trust when it comes to deciding on a surgeon for your procedure. I am so pleased with my results that I have decided to have some additional liposuction done to help finalize the new look I want as I start my 50s! Dr. Kouris will fully explain each step of your procedure in easy to understand terms so you know exactly what to expect. Some procedures can be done in his office and others are done in the Rush University surgery center in Chicago. I had my first procedure done at the surgery center where the staff (from the nurses to the anesthesiologist) was top-notch. As far as the procedure, it was surprisingly easy and mostly pain-free. I seriously never even took a Tylenol post-op! I had the procedure done on a Friday morning and I was home having lunch by 1 pm. I took it easy for the day, but was really doing everything I normally do the next day (except exercise which will have to be delayed for 4-5 weeks). I had some bruising which went away after about one week. The chest area tingles and feels a bit weird, and the nipples are very sensitive, but really no "pain." The swelling is easily controlled with a compression wrap and I wore a compression shirt (one size too small) every day for 5-6 weeks just to keep everything in place and feeling great. Seriously, guys, this is a no-brainer procedure if you want to lose the man boobs. Give yourself a present that will really make a difference in your life. Dr. Kouris and his nurse, Sheila, are ready to help you become the new you.
