pics of before/after seroma
Well I got my new drain removed after 3 weeks of having the ultrasound guided seroma aspiration/drain implantation. Now im just wearing my CG (as I have done since day 4 PO) and ill strap on top of it the binder I got from the PS. It is the smallest one they have which is good :). My healing has been longer than expected cause of this but I felt that Dr horn was very concerned about my happiness and feel that he will do anything to make me happy with my results, only time will tell. I have to keep wearing the CG 24/7 for another 6 weeks in hopes that the skin will start attaching to my muscle walls. After the seroma, there is still a hard bump around my BB and im hoping thats just swelling from the seroma and not a sac that can form around a seroma that has been around for so long, which if thats the case he will have to re-open me and get that out. I do have a feeling that im gonna need a revision but that will be covered by the doc with no extra cost. Still dont have much of a appetite, and if I eat too much, I get swollen and end up getting sick. If I didnt know any better, its like what people experience after having a gastric bypass. I am getting skinny and love my new body. Keep in mind folks that this is a long time in recovery but it will be worth it in the end

I don't have much of an appetite either (I'm PO week 11) I was 179lbs at surgery and now 164.4 lbs. Keep at your CG, just as you told me on my blog. It really helps, but you already know this. You look great in clothes!!!

I'm a just now starting this process I'm interviewing drs. Did your insurance cover the ultrasounds and extra pump or did your PS offer insurance on the side? I am worried about complications and if they will be covered,

Drain removed!
Well after having the seroma and going to the hospital 3 weeks in a row, they pulled the drain. No more fluid! Yippee, I almost skipped my way home I am a happy camper. All I have left is swelling around the BB and I go back to the PS on tues to see what it is. Hoping its just swelling from the seroma (which he originally thought it was, until it leaked through my BB) I think im gonna have to buy yet another CG cause the medium is getting big and bunching up around the sides and middle. Im not complaining thats for sure. So for now I wear my CG and the binder. Its a long road but starting to be really worth it. Ill submit more pics when I get a chance. Thank god for RS, its really good to read about others going through this.
