6 weeks post-op and frustrated :(

I need to vent and wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm 6 weeks since surgery, and I now have a rather large bulge above my belly button!! My lower abdomen is flat, but now I'm bulging where I wasn't before the surgery. It's so discouraging - it really pops out. I look pregnant! When I first noticed it, I went to my doc and he checked for fluid, but there was none. He said it was normal swelling and that it would go down. It's not going down - and is getting worse, especially at the end of the day. I didn't spend all of this money to have my tummy roll just move up! I'm going back this Thursday, and going to push him to figure this out. I'm wondering if it's a hernia or popped internal stitch or something. Anyone else experience this??? Would love to hear.

Swollen!!

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the surgery. Doing much better overall but have quite a bit of swelling in my upper stomach. I was worried I might have a Seroma because it felt like a squishy lump. I went to doc today - he stuck a needle in my tummy to check for fluid (that was fun). Got nothing so need to ride it out. There is a small chance I popped an internal suture but that is unlikely. Hope it will go down soon because it's really annoying and painful! He did say that I'm healing nicely. He says I don't need to wear the binder all the time now, but it actually feels better to have it on. I'm able to sleep on my side now which is wonderful! Still can't do tummy but side is much better than back to me! I'm looking forward to feeling better each week. I'm wondering if my clothes size is going to change much - would love to hear any feedback on this. Thanks!!

Swollen ugh!

So I'm at Day 18. Doing much better overall - up and around, getting back to normal. I'm now having swelling in my upper belly under my bra line. Really annoying. Anyone else experience this??

I felt instantly at ease with Dr. Kim. I knew right away that he was the one I wanted to do the surgery. He has a wonderful bedside manner - and is very upfront and honest about the journey your are about to take. He - and his staff are amazing. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
