Finally! I Have my Surgery Date

Ok, so I had my surgery on 9/26. I was in pain when I woke up and for the remainder of the night.
I felt much better the day after surgery. I am having some minor issues with gas, and I am very surprised that I am having issues trying to get liquids down. You really have to sip. I have not checked my weight yet.

Hi lady. Glad to hear that your surgery went well. I started my pre-op diet today, as my surgery is scheduled for 10/09/17. I'm not having any trouble yet, lol but I'm not looking forward to the hunger pangs. Good luck!

Congrats! On having a surgery date:) I have to tell you that the pre-op diet was the hardest things for me, I wanted to eat so bad. But, I kept thinking you are doing this for your future, suck it up! I made it!

I am 1 wk post-op and see my surgeon for first post-op visit today.

Hey you. Sorry I've been in the wind. I had my surgery last Monday 10/09/17. I must say everything went as expected. I had a great surgeon. I am having pain when the liquid actually hits my stomach. The fluid does stay down, so I'm not concerned with dehydration. But this pain is like no other. I still have it today 10/13/17 and the pain medication does not help it. Have you experienced any pain like this? It's really upper gastric right when the liquid hits my stomach and it doesn't matter if it's hot, cold, luke warm, room temp, etc...

Although, I wouldn't change a thing. I need a way to get over this pain, which is probably just time. I visited my doctor on yesterday and he said everything is going very well, my vitals are normal so he isn't concerned but he did give me more pain meds. But I have lost 8 pounds already. My starting weight was 214, surgery weight was 204, and as of yesterday's apt with my surgeon my current weight is 196lbs. So I am excited to see things are moving in the right direction so quickly. It does help to keep you motivated and stay on course and be successful. I'm looking forward to seeing you, us both succeed in our weight loss journey. Stay positive, sister we can do this...

I mean I lost 8 pounds from my surgery weight already. Total weight loss so far is 18 pounds.

It's only day 2 and I feel hungry and a little weak. I am not starving or anything but it would be nice to eat a little somethin, somethin. However, I knew I can do this my surgery Tuesday....so I got to suck it up and go eat some chicken broth.

Just got a call from my surgeon office and my new surgery date is Tuesday 9/26, so I am starting my clear liquid diet TODAY!! Help!
