I have always had an issue with my nose, in particular my profile. As my friends and family have been saying, "you dont need it!". My response is, of course I dont need it but I want to do it for myself. After explaining that everyone has come on board to support me.
I will update better pictures as the surgery date comes closer.

I just had my rhinoplasty done at the end of July. I chose to use George Moynihan at Gold Coast Plastic Surgery in Chicago. I also researched a lot of doctors and I really liked the before and after pictures he had. They look very natural and he has about 26 different photos on line. Although my nose is still healing, it looks great. Many of my friends said I didn't need it and told me not to get it done, but I am so glad that I did. Keep my updated.

Thanks for the reply Kas1802 :) How many doctors did you consider?

I met with 5 different doctors including Dr. Shah. Out of the 5, I liked the doctor I chose and Dr. Shah the best. I chose my doctor because he, just like Dr. Shah, only works on faces. Also, the doctor I chose asked the most questions out of all of the doctors and I really liked the pictures of his work. Whoever you choose, you will be really happy that you did it.

You are gorgeous, and will be a knock-out after your surgery. January will be here before you know it. Hang in there!

I went for my second consult last week and have decided to go with Dr. Shah. He seemed very busy this time of year but he still gave me the time I needed to walk through what he wanted to do to my nose. He wants to get rid of the bump and refine and lift the tip from being so droopy. What really helped with this consultation was to hear him speak about the 2D versus 3D imaging in the morph picture. I could not tell a a large difference in the frontal morph but he walked me through how in 3D it will be different. That really made me feel more comfortable. I had planned on getting it done mid-December but due to the season he was practically booked up. So I opted for mid January and have booked my surgery. I have been super excited but now that its actually happening I am starting to get nervous. Happy thoughts for the countdown! Any adivse from anyone would be appreciated :)

Hey, girl. I know what you mean by people trying to convince you not to do it, but if you feel like it's what's best than do it because only you know how much the change means which in our cases it's a boost of confidence in our profile :) good luck with your surgery! can't wait til see the after pics

I dunno, I dont want to scare you but I wouldnt feel right if I didnt tell you this first... I have heard bad reviews and things about this doctor!! just be aware!

Thanks for the warning. Can you be more specific please? I have read a couple reviews from people who have had revisions from a bad rhinoplasty who were not pleased but not with regular rhinoplasty. This site has many positive reviews for him but if you've read something somewhere else please pass it along.

they wrre revisions, but to me the surgeon shud be good at EVERYTHING. thats just me though. the doctor Im checking out does amazing revisions and i personally wouldnt go with any doctor thats had any serioud complaints.

sorry lol I didnt sleep much last night :( but this is my face so id just personally be extra careful.

Luckily, I know someone who went to him so I feel pretty comfortable with Dr. Shah. She is thrilled with what he did for her. I dont feel you can trust a doctor that has 100% outstanding reviews, in my opinion that seems extremely unlikely that all clients are always thrilled. I'd be concerned that they were paid reviews. There are so many surgeons out there it is really important to find someone who you'll trust with your face. Good luck with your surgery and keep us posted!

I have also seen some of Dr. Shah's work, including revisions, and he seems to be extremely talented. Good luck to you - the last month dragged for me, but maybe with the holidays you'll be too busy to think too much about it and it will quickly for you!

My surgery is less than a month away and I am getting excited and nervous for first time. It helps to see everyone's progress on the site but the closer it gets the more often my loved ones keep asking me if I am really going through with it. There is no turning back now but I wish I had more support. A couple of my friends are excited for me but my boyfriend and family are anti nose job. I'll keep everyone posted closer to the surgery. Any tips anyone has for pre-opt or post-op care would be appreciated. Thanks!

All the best preparing. I'll be a day ahead of you, but my nose requires a bit more work than yours. It's going to be well worth it for you.
You're gorgeous, but I get it. Lots of people tried to talk me out of my rhinoplasty too, years ago. So glad I didn't listen! Please keep us updated as you get closer to the big day. If you haven't already, check out this post about ten supplies to get before your surgery.
