Best in Rhinoplasty, Hands Down, Fixed a Disaster

The best plastic surgeon/aesthetic doctor I've ever had. I would vouch 1000 times for his work. Best to read in entirety. I had a rhinoplasty by another doc at age 17. I was bullied every day growing up, very self-conscious and I grew up in a rich and racist suburb.  The first rhinoplasty was great but about 18 years later I definitely needed a revision; the tip of my nose was starting to sink really low, covering my top lip when I smiled. I went back to my original doctor. That was a huge mistake... after a very painful surgery and recovery, my nose looked AWFUL. Especially in photos and video... and I'm an actor. The left nostril was collapsing in the front, the right tip stuck out, and I had breathing problems. In every single photo of my work, my eyes went straight to my horrible lopsided nose. Psychologically I was stuck, I really struggled with the idea of getting a "third nose job." It made me feel kind of sick, and like my nose might end up looking like those celebrities who go too crazy. So I wrestled with the idea and I researched and researched for months, if not a year and I found Dr. Shah. He was the only doctor that was absolutely consistently reviewed highly for his rhinoplasty work. I read EVERYTHING there was, looked at ALL his before and afters, asked around among the doctor community through a connection... and it was always all positive. He was literally the only doc I could not find a bad review on, so I finally went in..... "just for a consult." He was calm and professional, perfect. I was very happy that he listened to everything I had to say, and I was extremely happy when he asked if I wanted a "Western looking" nose or if I wanted to retain my ethnicity. I understand there are people out there who go in to change their nose to a Western nose. But that is the opposite of what I wanted.... so I happily answered yes, I 100% don't want to try to look Caucasian.... I want to look like my own ethnicity in my nose. The consult was so calm and assuring I went ahead and scheduled the surgery... to my own surprise. I was really depressed to be having a 3rd rhinoplasty (revision), but after the consult I just kind of knew things would be okay and it would be fixed... one of those times you can't explain exactly why you're so sure but you just know. I can't really put into words how positive and healing the experience was. When I woke up, there was no packing in my nose - he didn't need it. Since packing had been one of the worst parts, I was elated. And during the pre-surgical consult Dr Shah had mentioned the remote possibility that rib cartilage may be needed etc, but said it was unlikely in my case. But he told me that he was taken by surprise when he went in - the previous doctor had really removed too much of the support cartilage, and so Dr Shah decided to take a tiny bit from my rib. For a moment I was a bit nervous but I looked down - the incision was so minimal and I felt the new cartilage supporting my nostrils already... so it didn't bother me at all. That incision is almost totally invisible now, and the cartilage support in my nose is so so strong without making my nose look bigger at all - I can say 100% I will not have the same collapse problem again. In that moment I could also already see that the aesthetic would turn out very well, and on my first night of sleep, I breathed through my nose. That was like a miracle I did not expect. The pain was minimal, so easy, I didn't need any of the prescribed painkillers. I think I took maybe one Advil? And since the surgery years ago, literally EVERYTHING about my nose has turned out the way I wanted. Now I go to Dr. Shah and his aesthetician Joanna for every aesthetic thing I need, and with those two I've never had a single bad experience. I'm happy to vouch, answer questions, anything. I don't check this site that often but I WILL respond if I see a question :) I'm just really happy I trusted the feeling from the consult and never have to think about this again, I'm so happy to feel good about my own face, and I'm glad I have a resource for honest feedback and successful treatments (or even another surgery if I decide in the future). I can find pics if need be.

Dr. Shah is the best plastic surgeon out there and...

Dr. Shah is the best plastic surgeon out there and the only one I will trust from here onwards. After 2 botched rhinoplasties (the second one left my septum too thin and caused collapse that led to major breathing and career problems (actor/singer)), I went to him, totally terrified, after months of researching reviews. He is even-handed, cautious and realistic, which was very important to me as a sign of credibility. He said he would fix my nose to look natural, photogenic, and to function well, which was all I asked for. I was skeptical and inside I was terrified to go through a third surgery, but it was truly the best decision I ever made, and I thank God I am done with these rhinoplasties. Worth every penny, has fixed every problem. Also, as I wished, no one knows outright that I had anything done...! Not even people who saw me right before and after a few weeks recovery! Which is crazy and kind of amazing. I just get more and more compliments about looking great! The MOST amazing part was the RECOVERY!! It was so much EASIER than the other doctor!!! No packing, I could breathe through my nose by DAY 2!!! Plus my agent made me tape an audition 1 week after the procedure despite my complaints, and no one knew anything was off...? I still don't know how that was possible... Anyway, all that should tell you something: if that's not miraculous and patient-centered work, I don't know what is. I've also been back many times for non-surgical aesthetic procedures, and again... it's like no other office knows what they're doing besides this one. Everything they do is great and safe for my light brown skin, and I have come away super happy with the results every time (Joanna is the best). It's honestly weird to say that I have zero complaints about a doctor, but... what can I say, there it is. Dr. Shah and his staff have been so consistently great to me, and I hope you will give them the same chance to care for you.

See above. Dr. Shah is totally professional, great bedside manner, zero complaints. The work he did has improved my voice and my life. I'm very grateful. Like I said, having zero complaints is very weird for me, but I honestly couldn't have asked for better. Any questions, just ask and I'll respond.
