Booked!! Looking Forward to It, Happy to Be Working with Dr. Shah! - Chicago, IL

Hello! So I have officially booked my rhinoplasty and I am very, very eager. I have hated my nose my entire life and this is something I have wanted since I was 13. Upon first meeting Dr. Shah, he was friendly, straightforward, and pressed for time. I respected him for telling me my blunt flaws, and I believe all surgeons should be able to give that to their patients. It helped me to built our relationship because it is clear he is not going to bull crap you, whether you like it or not. Even though it was a short meeting, I respected him for all professional opinions and I am very confident that I have chosen one of the best plastic surgeons for my surgery. and on a side note...i am SO ready for IMPROVEMENT! (not perfection)

Hello Everyone! thank you for the outpour of support. I am three days post op and feeling good! I have been frequently icing and eating very healthy for hopes of a quick and speedy recovery. Dr. Shah was SO friendly and eager to get to work, but is very well kept and spent time preparing for the surgery. He truly reminds me of Christian Grey... not the sexual side, but if you have read or seen the movie, very well kept, very particular, and very straight to the point.

After surgery, he approached my mom and let her know that his plan did not work out the way he had mapped it, however he was able to work around these problems and overall thinks that I will be very happy. That was scary to hear, but he did not go into detail so we will be further talking on my 1 week review this Wednesday. My nose was a bulbous tip, so immediately I can already see the results at the bottom and so far, so good! I have stitches on the sides of both nostrils and also through my columella, however everything looks even and narrowed like the photos we had discussed prior. I am not used to having such a small nose and already notice both my eyes and lips appear a bit bigger.

I will post all photos after the cast has been removed! Saw a few poor reviews recently and I wanted to let everyone seeking Dr. Shah know that I have not had one poor experience thus far. The surgery center is located across the hall from his office and they were AMAZING as well. Called to follow up the day after, very personable, and helped me adjust medications as I needed. I don't think I could have had a better first (and only) plastic surgery experience.
