I turned 41 this year and I was noticing that Botox wasn’t doing enough for the lines around my eyes and my forehead anymore. And I was acquiring some nasty lines around my mouth. My dentist, Dr Radeka at Lustre Skin Boutique thoroughly explained PRP and PDO threads and how that could be a better option than fillers as I wanted to avoid having caulk injected into my face. She explained the procedure thoroughly and prepared me for post op downtime (bruising, swelling, tenderness)
Dr Radeka went through the process explaining step by step what she was doing and why, and her passion for the benefits of this procedure left me 100% trusting my face and skin to her expert knowledge.
The first session involved taking my blood and spinning it in a hospital grade centrifuge. She then injected the PRP into my problems areas. It burned for about 2 seconds after injection but quickly went away. I did get some areas anesthetized prior so I hardly felt it at all. After injections, she microneedled my entire face and then covered the area with my PRP. I went home with what she called “liquid gold” on my face (PPP).
My second session, in mid May was a bit more intense, which I asked for. No pain no gain. She went deeper with the microneedle which i think was super effective if you see my after photos. All in all it only took about 8 weeks to see a huge difference in my skin.

Hi shmertly,
I'm considering having this treatment done, and am almost the same age as you. I would love to hear what you are noticing now that it has been a month after your PRP treatment. Do you still see results, or was it just initial swelling & things went back to exactly how they were before?? Would love to hear!! :)

Hi! Sorry for the delay, I’m just seeing these messages. I’m definitely still noticing the results, especially around the mouth. My skin had some serious hyperpigmentation which is practically gone. I have a 3rd treatment in the next few weeks and will post more photos after downtime.
Hope this helps!

Did u end up doing th pdo too?

I did! I had 2 threads put on each side of my mouth near the frown lines. Those took longer than the PRP to see results but definitely worth it.
