Perfect! Thank you, Dr. Mustoe. I have an absolutely fantastic result from open rhinoplasty. And, unless I had told them, no one knows I had anything done. I’m still me, just better.
I’ve thought about getting my nose done since I was about 16. I’m 44. I’m glad I held off until now because I wouldn’t have found Dr. Mustoe . It takes research and time to find the right surgeon. Before my first visit, I felt reassured because another respected cosmetic surgeon–who does not perform rhinoplasty on patients with functional issues–spoke highly of Dr. Mustoe.
Other surgeons didn’t really look at the proportions of my nose and face. They also didn’t look at the photos I brought to the consult. Others suggested a closed approach, which wouldn’t have given me the right result. Dr. Mustoe understood that it wasn’t just a matter of removing the dorsal hump and slightly reducing the supratrip, but also refining the tip. I had to be absolutely sure that my surgeon understood what I wanted: a refined nose, but a natural result. That’s exactly what I got–and he removed bone spurs so I can breathe better.
Office visits have been a pleasure. There is no pretense. His is a very well run, comfortable medical office–not a spa–not a plastic surgery factory with a TV monitor and marketing materials. His staff is down-to-earth, highly competent and diligent, which is a reflection of Dr. Mustoe himself. I was well cared for and am very happy.
