Microblading Gone Wrong?

ORIGINAL POST

So I've been following this microblading...

$200
So I've been following this microblading technician in Chicago for about a month, but researching the procedure for about a year. I decided to make an appointment & finally had the guts to get it done. The technician was running a special at $200 and its normally $500. She was really nice, it hurt like hell, but I got through it. When it was over, I looked in the mirror and was somewhat shocked that it didn't look like any of her pictures. I saw a lot of small, short strokes. My brow was super pigmented (jet black) and thick. When it was time for me to go home, I hopped in the car with my boyfriend and he jumped! I started doing more research and although most information say there's no "downtime", u definitely have to wear bangs or sunglasses for atleast 1 week, & total healing time take 30 days, until the touch up, then ur back at square 1. Needless to say I'm quite upset. I hate how my brows look & I pray after the scabs fall off, my eyebrows will look like the pics & video's that's on her website. Today 1 day after my procedure, I contacted a well known traveling microblading tech, she said it is wayyy too many strokes, use like a triple antibiotic to take out some of the pigmentation, and send her a pic in two weeks. Ladies, do ur research I can't stress that enough.

Ladies, as a CMS (Certified Microblade Specialist) let me say this yet once again. Cheap Microbladed Brows aren't pretty and Pretty Microbladed Brows aren't cheap. You get what you pay for...hopefully. If you can not afford the service, then continue to save until you can get a quality service, by a qualified professional. Mot states have Body Art License Requirements, certification requirements, Facility License requirements, Bloodborn Pathogen Certification requirements, Cosmetology and/or Esthetician License Requirements, Medical Waste Disposal Requirements, not to mention State and County Health Dept. Inspections, Permits and License Requirements. I see far too many people more concerned about the look rather than the safety of these procedures. One follows the other! Safety first, All Licenses posted publicly at facility ( you can ask to see these!). All these documents are required in every state in one form or another. The rooms in which these procedures are rendered are considered para-medical and must conform to that standard. No carpet, all linens must be wrapped from a hospital grade laundry facility. Most don't even permit window dressings that aren't disposal or can be sanitized with a tuberculocidal solution. Personal protection for both client and technician is a must (head, face, hands, upper body). Before they can even begin a consultation must ensue with full medical disclosure. You will be given specific post care instructions, a follow up appointment, the service professional's phone number in case you need assistance. Your brows are literally outlined (drawn) on your face with proper measurements from the nose, eyes, brow bone and forehead at multiple angels to ensure balance and uniformity. Brows have a natural curve and density to them, so if you desire a very powdered look to them, soft tap technique coupled with your Microblading will be very becoming. However if you desire a more natural look with airiness to the brow, stick with Microblading with gentle curved blade that is smaller to truly mimic the natural hair diameter, direction and curve. Very few people have straight up and down eyebrow hairs which look like a fine sharpie drew them in. I've seen far too many people who want a natural look get the exact opposite and vise versa. Your technician can not guess at the style you actually desire. It is a very good idea to bring photos of brow styles you would like to consider for your own wear to your appointment. She / he will offer suggestions to what they can reasonable offer you. Not everyone can perform all techniques. Some people who've done this for years never advance in their education and still provide a very novice looking service This is an art! Cease looking for the least expensive deal or Groupon to satisfy your beauty needs. Focus on safety, certification, license, referral, education, professionalism in both individual and facility and cost which reflects the afore mentioned. Finally, learn to be patient to allow the process to come to its completion if you have done all the above and then follow the protocols given to you by the service provider without deviation. The fading will happen, the peeling and itching will happen and the final result will be attractive....if you have done the proper research and follow through.

Paid $700 in NY not happy

Hey, you said you got them one day before this photo was taken? Keep in mind the healing process is nuts, it will be dark, swollen and even flake to the point you feel like a lizard, personally I don't see your brows as bad, I think they are probably a more prominent brow then you are used to (and had you're whole life!) so may be shocking but they actually look good and you're very pretty. I would wait and see because if you have issues they can be solved at touch up or just fix themselves once healed. Keep us posted after the 12 day mark.
