Week 11: My incisions are not hiding nicely in the crease

11 weeks already?! Going by so fast. Updating because I am a little concerned about my incisions creeping up the past two weeks. As my breasts have dropped and fluffed, I'm noticing that my incisions are pretty visible and don't show any signs of politely going into hiding in the crease like they are supposed to. I'm hoping that somehow they are still in progress and will one day not be visible, but I feel a little doubtful. Has anyone else had this? I didn't really have a crease to begin with, so is it possible that the dr just estimated too high? I don't want to use the dreaded "bottoming out" word yet, but I'm scared and need advice from you ladies. Overall I'm happy with the shape but hate seeing the incisions and worried they might drop further. Am I normal? Also... around the 7 week mark my incisions suddenly got much redder/darker which my PS said is a completely normal part of the healing process. I'm just feeling a little self-conscious lately about how red and visible my incisions are :( would appreciate any advice! I'm currently using Hydrogel for flattening/healing the scars and Blanche skin lightening cream to lighten. On the bright side... I finally got to wear my first one-piece swimsuit without looking like a baby!

Just catching up on your update and wow you look amazing!! My crease was lowered slightly for my surgery and my incisions are not in the crease they are a little above but they cannot really be seen when looking straight on. I thought the doctors don't really want the incisions directly in the crease? I understand your concerns though bottoming out was and is a huge concern of mine, considering what little to no breast tissue I had before.

I feel like my incisions are in the same location as yours - I will post a pic w my update so you can see it. I just visited my PS last week so I know he is happy with everything and there are no issues. Hopefully that gives you some assurance when you see how similar my incisions are. My incisions are lighter in color but I've been using this special serum from my doctor which I will also include in my update!

Yes that does make me feel better! It's weird because I really like the position mine are in but the incision placement moving upwards makes me nervous. If they stayed as they are I would be happy, I'm just scared that they'll keep dropping or I'm doing something wrong or something! Thanks for making me feel better :) I just switched to an underwire bra a couple days ago and the extra support feels nice. What do you wear?

It seems most the girls on here end up with incisions a bit abive the crease, I think it's completely normal and not something you should worry too much about. They also seem to have healed nicely, I'm sure they will fade more eventually. And by the way, you look amazing in your one piece swim suit! X

Thank you! Makes me feel better :)

My Incisions are also moving up above the crease. My doc made the comment that she doesn't want any chance if the incision peeking out of the bottom of a bikini top, which is why they normally put them a little above the crease. I was also concerned about bottoming out, and my PS said that when the implant slides down too low, your nipple will often times point up (because of the excessive lower pole fullness). Hope that helps with your concerns. You look great!!

This makes me feel a lot better to hear. Seems like it is pretty normal after all. Phew! Thank you!!

WOW! You look fantastic! Love the 1 piece! I have always wanted to wear one, but I am much too flat to... My surgery is scheduled for May 30th and I am so glad that I came across your post! I am having a VERY hard time with deciding size, BUT I have a few different factors that need to be considered. ANYWAYS- You and I have similar before in the sense of width of cleavage and breast separation. I am sorry if you state somewhere, but could you please tell me your BWD? Mine is 13.5cm - though I am a 32B. I really appreciate your feedback! AGAIN... LOVE your results!!!
May 6, 2017
Oh GOSH! I saw! 11cm ! I am a dork! Gosh! So--- with the same size, I wonder what my outcome might be when my BWD is 13.5? The stress of deciding on size is all consuming LOL
May 6, 2017
Hi beebs! Thanks for your kind words :) My BWD was 12.9cm and I went with an implant that was 12.0cm wide; so just under 1 cm smaller than my BWD. My surgeon recommended sticking within 1cm of BWD, if that helps you at all! I know choosing is so hard... I obsessed nonstop between 310 and 330cc and ultimately went with 310. Now I feel that either size would have been just fine! During recovery there was a time where I worried that I had gone too small, but the dropping and fluffing process really makes them fill out quite nicely. Just gotta be be patient. Mine are still changing each week and I am 12 weeks out!
May 6, 2017
Oh!! Yay!! I'm thinking that 310 or 330 will be perfect then!! Thank you for the reply!

5 weeks out, loving them!

bee920
I love having boobs!! I am five weeks out and pretty much pain free. I am so happy with Dr. Horn's work; the placement and size is perfect for me! They feel bigger now that they are dropping and fluffing, which makes me glad I went with 310cc instead of the larger size. I am still in a sports bra and limited exercise for another week or two.

I went to a wedding last weekend and wore a deep v dress for the first time in my life, since I have never been able to fill one out before. It looked amazing but got a lot of attention, which was a new feeling for me. Not sure how to deal with some of the comments from friends who don't know about my surgery. I just said it was the dress that made my boobs look so great. Feeling rather shy again... will need to work up my courage to show them off again haha. Just another thing to get used to!

Hey! I was worried about you after your last post! I'm sooo happy you're loving them now and happy with the size! You look fantastic! Rocking that dress!
March 13, 2017
Thanks :) I've been MIA on realself lately, but only because work has been so crazy. I'm back now and ready to catch up on all of your updates! I definitely still feel "meh" sometimes, but only bc I get annoyed with how long recovery takes haha. Just want to be normal again!

Just read about the wedding You look so Elegant and Sexy no wonder you got a lots of attention. The most important that you happy with your choice and you feel good . Very happy for you
March 13, 2017
Thank you!! It was a big step and honestly it was way more attention than I was ready for. Felt kind of overwhelmed, kept wondering if everyone could tell they were fake. But they've gotta come out in a dress some day and I might as well start getting used to it. This is what we wanted after all right, to feel more sexy and feminine? It's scary tho! Eee... baby steps.

You rocked that dress! I think I'm breaking mine out for the first time on a trip with my husband, so I won't know anyone else. Hoping this helps me get used to them. None of my coworkers have been able to tell I've had them done; they just feel so big to us when we started with nothing!

Thanks for sharing your journey! I am your build, just a little taller. I am going with Dr. Horn, but I am getting bigger cc’s than you. Your boobs look SO great!! Your posts have reassured me that I am going with the right PS.

Day 19: Meh.

bee920
It's been about two and a half weeks and I can tell a lot of swelling has gone down in the past few days. I *almost* feel like I went too small with my implant choice. Almost. But I love the way I look in clothes, very subtle... exactly what I wanted. I am happy with my choice. I still feel a little bloated and I think I just feel down with my belly poking out and being unable to exercise at all. No exercise really takes a toll on you mentally! Was not anticipating that...

Incisions are looking good, I am very pleased with Dr. Horn's work so far. I'm still sore in my right breast from my incident at Victoria's Secret last week, but pain is manageable. I still find it hard to sleep through the night because laying on my side hurts but laying on my back feels unnatural. I keep waking up throughout the night on my side and in pain. Also, morning boob is real and is annoying when I'm trying to get out the door to work in the morning. Massaging helps. Meh. Just overall feeling meh right now. I'm posting pics to show off and make me feel better.

Hey I went through this phase a *little bit* too when the swelling started to go down. Earlier on I hated hearing that I was swollen and that they still needed to settle, etc. I didn't want them to get smaller even though at first I thought they were huge. You get used to them so quickly I guess! I heard that the majority of the swelling is gone by the 6 week mark, so you still have some changes to go through most likely. And even then apparently up to a year to see the final result. However for me once the swelling went down they definitely became more natural looking in shape and I think they looked better. As of now at 8 weeks I'm truly happy with my size (300cc so essentially the same as you and we have the same stats) however I do wish I addressed the asymmetry I had before my BA which I said no to at my pre op (insert eye roll).
February 23, 2017
Oh and I hear you on the no exercise thing! I'm chomping at the bit to hopefully get cleared for exercise w no restrictions next week! It's kind of like paying the toll to get boobs though you just have to allow your body the time to heal. It's worth it!

Sorry you going through ups and downs. I am with you . Completely understand . Juts keep remind your self it is temporary and if you start to soon you can do some damage.
Believe me I known how hard it is I never had more that 2 days a week off hot power yoga . My surgery was 7 days ago and I feel like I didn't practice for yesrs.already. But at the same time I know I don't want to do any damage so I plan to take a 3 months off power yoga.and maybe in a moth take some dancing lessons something completely different. Perfect timing to try.
You look great . I cannot imagine going bigger and I got 305cc moderate plus sientra.
You are your and you have a beautiful body and maybe 10 years from now if you want to go bigger it will be an option. If you go big first time it is harder in the future.
Take care everything will get better soon
