Correction@@ It was the VITALIZE PEEL!!!!!! And it looks amazing..my skin is vibrant and glowing..it wasn't that bad of a process..not bad at all. You have to be ok with your skin looking and feeling kind of weird. However, the payoff is worth it. Again, the idea is not to get one and be done. You must do a series of them. Remember your skin becomes dull and flaky when the weather changes and needs to be exfoliated. I don't think over the counter products could peel away the skin the way a chemical peel does. I will def post pictures of my next peel

Yesterday I noticed my skin looking really vibrant...

Yesterday I noticed my skin looking really vibrant and healthy..glowing. My friend also mentioned she noticed my skin glowing and a difference. Again, it is a process and after I do a few more I'm sure I will see major results. I think it definately was worth it, but you have to remember to be PATIENT! Everything takes time. I will update next time with a before and after picture so people can see.

Since I am going to be 39, I have been working on...

Since I am going to be 39, I have been working on ways to improve my skin and rejuvinate its appearence. I have had acne for many years, never really used sunscreen until a few years ago and genetically predisposed for bad shin...I've had botox and fillers that work wonders..however, neither one will help with the texture of your skin. I have been looking at photofacials and was considering the VI peel for awhile. Finally I spoke with my dermatologist and decided to start with a rejuvination peel, which isn't so harsh of a procedure as maybe a vi peel. The esthetician explained the process and then began by putting a chemical on my entire face and under my chin..on a scale of 1 to 10..it burned and I say it was an 8. She finally put some cooling gel on and the burn subsided. By the way, I also have sensitive skin and anything can make my face irritated. I was told not to touch my face and not to wash it for 4 hours. The next day it was really tight, dry and felt exactly like a sunburn. I moisturized a lot, but it seemed like it was impossible to mosturize. The following day I started peeling around my mouth and the the next day in other areas on my face. Nothing too serious, I just felt uneasy with the overall look. My face was somewhat red and the texture like leather and then peeling. You have to be very, very patient with these things because its a metamophisis. You are transforming slowly and it takes time to see the outcome. Today is Sunday and I had it done on Tuesday...my skin is vibrant and glowing . I mosturize it with every product I have, including vaseline...it has to be mosturized every few hour, but there's no more peeling. I can also tell my skin looks lighter in pigment. Not too bad, but definately lighter. I think next time I will do the peel that's a step up as I have decided to incorporate peels into my skin routine for now on.. you cannot expect one peel to undo years of damage. Just like anything, its a process over time that you must maintain. My goal is to get rid of the the apparence of wrinklin skin around my cheeks when I smile. Oh by the way, I noticed a few more wrinkles forming around my eyes...I'm not sure if this is meant for under the eyes or not. So again, I've been moisturizing. The process is dry the skin out to the point of peeling, thus reproducing new skin cells. However, you must mosturize even more! Did I mention moisturizing? Hahah..the products I used were given to me by my dermatologist...cetephil moisturizer and cleanser. However, I also used lancome creams in addition to the other creams.

Was performed by an esthetician named Cee Cee. She's great. Really informative and helpful!
