39 Y/o Relatively Thin with No Butt - Chicago, IL

I am a 39 y/o female who researched buttock implants after experiencing little to no gains from working out. I did not have enough extra fat to just do a Brazilian butt lift so I opted for implants with fat transferred from liposuction of my abdominal area and love handles. I am from Ohio and found very few Doctors specializing in implants so I traveled to Chicago to have the surgery performed by Dr. Shifrin. I had a phone consultation a few weeks prior to surgery in which the Dr. reviewed pictures that I had emailed to him. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Shifrin, he was both helpful, informative and straight forward. I flew to Chicago, had my surgery on a Tuesday and was able to walk to my follow up visit with him on Friday (3 days later). I was uncomfortable the day after the surgery but nothing unbearable. I was swollen and found icing to be essential. I had help the first day of recovery but was on my own after that. I was able to care for myself, ice swollen areas and empty the two drains that were inserted into the bottom of each butt cheek. I returned to work 6 days post op and had to stand most of the days that followed. Surprisingly it felt good to stand and move around especially after being a couch potato for 6 days. I am 5 weeks post op, I feel great and I've resumed all of my normal activities. I ran two miles today and I feel fine. Dr. Shifrin and his office staff literally made things so easy and I LOVE the result. I should mention that Dr. Shifrin ultimately chose the size of the implant to put in (340 cc) and he made a great choice. The size fits perfectly with my frame and I could not be happier. He's a great Dr. and he does great work :) I will definitely go to see him again for any future work that I might decide to have done.
