I'm not sure if I notice a significant difference between my last updated (17 days), except that my cheek implants have gone down significantly, probably highlighting the asymmetry in my face. I have not really talked to anyone (who I've told) who has seen me before and after. Most people I've come come across either do not know, or I have only met for the first time, so I'd appreciate any honest feedback.

I don't think the fat removal highlighted the asymmetry based off your pics. Your face does look thinner.. I think you look good and see an improvement. I think opinion depends on what one finds attractive. I personally like how your face is thinner. But I love that look, probably because I have a bloated fat face lol :-)

You are funny! Love the last sentence. I bet you are pretty.

Based on only one before pic, and only one six month post-operative pic, it's hard to tell--but I think you're right. The asymmetry does look more obvious, but not because of the fat grafts to the cheekbone--I think it's because of the buccal fat removal. The buccal fat was kind of hiding the asymmetry, padding it & making it less obvious.

All of that said--I think your face looks better now than it did before. Your new cheekbones are nice and high, the hollows just below are very model-esque, and the face overall is much more defined.

But my opinion doesn't matter--the only one that counts is yours. If you're not happy with your face, tell your surgeon.

You look very pretty either way. I had a full face and brow lift, lower lids and fat pads removed, and buccal fat removed when I was 40. I am 65. As time rearranges my features, I wonder if I had left the buccal fat if my jowels would not look as pronounced. Tiny alterations I made when I was younger have not aged evenly. With that being said, I think I look better now than my 40 yo pre-op pictures. I think one should always be at their top weight. Yo-yo dieting can stretch the skin. Gradual weight gain can act like a natural filler for the face. I really just need a little work on the jaw line. I was suppose to go back to get my upper lids done but I didn't. I had permanent eyeliner when I was 40 also and it is still there. I haven't been pulling on my eyes for the last 25 years putting on makeup. However, I sleep on my left side and that lid droops more and my eyebrow is higher. I might get something done if I had money to burn. I have come to the conclusion that most people don't notice the little things when they see us. There are some disadvantages of not looking one's age. Someone you own age may talk down to you like you are younger and you don't know what you are talking about. You are pretty either way. It's just personal preference and what makes you happy. The more you try to look perfect, the more imperfections you will find. Best wishes.

Are you able to take a photo of your face now in the same setting and lighting as you first photo?
Do you take a photo to the surgeon of what you were hoping to achieve?

I don't see a diff either but I have had micro lipo of my cheeks done before and it took about 7 months to start seeing a difference...

I can definitely notice a difference, but the response that I've gotten from other people has been mixed. I've noticed that one side has gotten considerably smaller, but my jaw and fat on the other side continues to make my face look uneven. I also don't really notice a difference in my chin "reduction." 4 people have told me I look the same and 2 have told me they notice a difference so :/

I'm not icing anymore, and my doctor has told me to resume normal activities. I continue to massage my face per doctor's orders though.

I like your face both before and after - cheekbones after look pretty good from those pics. What size implant did you get?
July 22, 2016
I'm not sure about size, but it was the first of 3 injections. I was told that in a few months, I could add more if I felt like the fat dissipated too much.
July 24, 2016
Oh, by cheek implant do you mean you had fat injections in your cheeks?
July 25, 2016
yes
July 22, 2016
I think that there will still be swelling for a few months so don't worry, I'm sure it will all even out. It looks even to me, but of course we always know better with our own faces in the mirror. I can see a real difference! Your chin looks more defined, there is a more v shaped jawline. I think you look great.
July 22, 2016
thank you! that's very encouraging :o)

Thank you for your kind comments :)

You look great! Your injections gave really great results!
August 10, 2016
Thanks! I'm not sure how long it'll last though because the doctor told me (and I can already feel) that the fat injections in my cheek are spreading out. I'm not sure if I want to go back for a second injection or third ($1500 each)

No real changes. My face looks wider/fatter than before, and kind of gourd-like. Been having regrets/depression/feelings of disappointment with my procedure. My follow-up is tomorrow so we'll see what the doctor has to say, but I don't really see any remarkable difference in my lower cheeks or chin in terms of reduction

Did you have cheek implants as well?
June 30, 2016
Yes - as my title says
July 1, 2016
In my opinion you look amazing already! Only one week post and your cheeks look fuller. Your lower face has improved so much in a week but it will still be swollen. Still I can see a difference even with swelling. Also I heard buccal fat removal takes longer than you'd think to heal because it's a really invasive surgery. I'm sure in another week you'll see a more defined jawline and the swelling will have gone down more, hang in there :)
July 7, 2016
Hang in there! It's only been 3 months for me but I promise you, you'll start noticing real changes after the one month mark. The swelling screws up everything you see! Don't worry and hang in there :) just ice religiously and don't move your mouth unless you have to! Talking eating etc
July 25, 2016
Thanks for the encouragement! It's been a month already and I'm still not sure if I think it was worth it. Did you notice any difference between month 1 and 3?
January 2, 2017
from my view, I can definitely see a change. wouldn't worry too much because you look like a sort.
