Back Story: I have been a negative A cup my entire life and always knew I was going to get implants because I'm obsessed with boobies. Dr. Pensler was the 2nd doctor I got a consultation with and immediately fell in love with him. He is very understanding, practical, realistic, honest, innovative and actually cares about what YOU want rather than what he wants-he unbiased. At the end of the day, he's real and a down to earth person. No B.S. and No Sales Pitch. That was in 2013.

Jumping ahead to 2014...So I finally saved my money and went shopping again thinking I would interview other PS's. Pensler was only the 2nd Dr. I visited so I didn't want to make a hasty decision. To make a long story short, he has little competition.

Other Doctors Interviews:
Dr. Michael Horne is an absolute joke. He is RUDE, egotistical and seems very disinterested. He showed me before and afters on his computer screen, sent his sidekick in to put sizers on me while he laughed and joked with employees in the lobby-No thanks.

Dr. David Ross is epic. He did not bother to measure me yet told me the size I wanted was too big. Then he said that he puts implants in his patients in the OR and if HE DOES NOT LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK, he takes them out until he has a size HE is comfortable with. Could you imagine the stress your body would endure with this process? Joke #2: I have very little breast tissue and he told me there was no way he was going under the muscle, everything needs to go over the muscle. This contradicts everything I've read, studied and been told. Basically, this guy is stuck in the 40's and wants to avoid any notion of a lawsuit. He's a great Dr. if you want to go from a 34C to a 36C. Joke#3. He had the nerve to show me moderate plus implants and tell me they were high profile. The best part of the consultation was that he told me I "need to get real". Maybe he should "get real" and invest in a tape measure....just my humble opinion.

Back to Dr. Pensler.
So after my miserable vetting process, I went back to Pensler and booked my appointment for 480cc UHP. He set real expectations for me based on my current make-up and spacing of my breast. "Breast enhancement" He candidly explained that the implants are not going to work miracles but assured me I would be happy with the results. The surgery went well and thanks to Real Self, I was very prepared (cooked, cleaned for weeks, had an easy access table, ice packs by the dozen etc.). What I was not prepared for was the amount of pain I would be in. Day 1-4 were HELL. I mean Hell. I weigh lift, work out 6 days a week, eat well, the whole bit. I've never felt that horrible in my life. Most of the pain was associated with the size but my gosh! The first night, while the compression bandage is on is suicide. I even contemplated ripping the implants out. You can't breathe, you can't sit up. It was hard to cry. UGHHH!

I'm 7 days post op. I'm currently having some weird/painful tearing sensation on the side of my right breast, specifically in the morning, which seems to be normal via Google but planning to follow up with the doc shortly. Otherwise, things seems to be going well. I'm riding high but really making sure to keep the skin lucubrated (no stretch marks please), iced, massaged and relaxed.

The fact of the matter is Dr. Pensler is the man. His pricing is reasonable and he actually know what he's doing. That's pretty much all a gal can ask for.
