How is your pain level and sleeping?
I'm at 10 days post op now and pain is at 1-3 only using Tylenol as needed. I'm sleeping fine with mild discomfort when I shift around. Not waking up at night because of pain.

The first few days post op, my pain level was anywhere from a 3-8 and I was using prescription pain meds. I had a hard time getting out of bed and had a hard time sleeping. Would wake up at night and take prescription pain meds to sleep. The meds will really help you the first 3-5 nights. Make sure someone will help you as well.

For me, once I got past the 1 week post op mark I felt much better.

Now at 10 days post op I'm even trying to light exercise.
Thanks that doesn't seem too bad, it's good to hear that the pain level decreases somewhat fast. I have a 5 month old and 5 year old so their pretty much dependent on me. Luckily, once I schedule my surgery I'll have family in to help with the kids.
Yes you will need someone to keep them occupied. Especially the 5 year old so he/she doesn't jump on you to play. My little boy jumps on me---I keep reminding him I'm sick and that I can't pick him up just yet. He's 3.5 years old and understands, he doesn't have a fit about it. Good luck with your surgery---it's really the nicest purchase you'll get for yourself, you deserve it!
Also- you may try to sleep some what sitting up for first 3-5 days it will make getting out of bed a lot easier.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We're moving to Peoria, IL soon and I'm looking for a doctor in Chicago. Do you have any recommendations?
Yes, Dr. Truong---Chicago Breast and Body. Had a really great experience there.
Just posted a before photo if you want to take a look for comparison.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm from the far suburbs of Chicago and interviewing surgeons now. Hoping to find one I really connect with so I can get the ball rolling, after 3 kids I'm ready to get my boobs back!! You look great! My 1st Dr suggested high profile, 400cc's and I was worried about them looking like balls stuck on my chest, but like I said , you look great, so it's very encouraging! Going to my second consult today so we'll see how it goes!
Hi- see Dr.Truong---excellent listener, really listens to what you want. He'll know how not to make them look like that and will be able to explain it. I'll post some newer pics soon---mine have changed in the last couple of weeks.
Also, I think when they look like balls on your chest it might be because they are over the muscle. Although you will have to get a Doctor's opinion because he/she would understand why the ball looks happens. Would love to hear an update!
Finally found my Dr. at my third consultation! My husband and I both loved him so much that I called the next day to schedule surgery. I'm scheduled for Thursday 6/16 and I can't wait! I have a second and third/pre-op appt scheduled, I can't believe it's finally happening, soooo excited!!!
Yay! I'm so happy for you!!! You're going to feel like a new person.
