I'm a 40 yr old mom of three beautiful girls...

I'm a 40 yr old mom of three beautiful girls between ages of 10 and 15. I've been wanting and researching getting a BA for a few years. I went to three consultations and fell in love with the third Dr. I knew right away he was the one I wanted. The day after my consultation, I called to schedule surgery. I go in for my second meeting with him tomorrow, which is to go over sizing. Next week I have my pre-op appt to go over any last questions, finalize sizing, how to prepare for surgery, and get my prescriptions. Then surgery is scheduled for Thursday 6/16. I am soooo excited!!! I'm 5'7", 145lbs, and currently a 34/36 deflated B. I'm hoping for a full C or small D. I've been obsessed with reading reviews and looking at pictures on here so thought I'd share my journey! Will continue to update as things progress:)

Congrats! My surgery date is June 17! Super excited too! I had my pre op this past Monday. I'm 35 years old 5'3 and 130 lbs and our side profile pics seem pretty similar in my opinion. I'm aiming for a full D and I noticed that your band size is also around 36. I have a wider chest (which I've learned in my research makes for more sizing options) My doc doesn't encourage much focus on cc number but more on pictures. I was wondering if your doc gave a general cc amount to reach your goal size of a full C small D?
Soooo glad you decided to share!

Hi:) My doc also didn't put much focus on cc's. Since I'm a B, he had me bring in a C and D cup bra with no padding and a tight t shirt, then I put in different implants till I liked the way I looked. The ones I ended up liking was either a Mentor moderate profile 375cc or 400cc, he said which ever I decide on he'll go up 25cc since he's going under the muscle. He said I'll drive myself crazy going back and forth between those two sizes, cause at only a 25cc difference, I'll never even notice. But either way I'll probably end up a D.

Congratulations! My BA is scheduled for June 16th as well. I'm a 43 year old mom of three. My stats are 5'5 and 117 lbs. I'm wavering back and forth over cc's. Looking forward to hearing about your BA results!

Congrats on your BA! How are you doing?
June 20, 2016
Well I'm now 2/3 days post opp. And unfortunately it's been nothing but hell:( My ba was scheduled for 7am June 16th. Everything seemed to go perfect. Until later that night at home. My left side has always felt great! But throughout the evening into Friday morning the pain and swelling on my right side got more unbearable by the hr. Luckily I had a 8am check up with my surgeon. He immediately said he thought I developed a hematoma, and wanted to to same day surgery to remove the right implant, drain and clean the pocket, replace with a new implant, and possibly put in a drain depending on the amount of bleeding. So I went right to the hospital to get started on liquids, pain meds, and antibiotics through the iv. As my husband and I were driving to the hospital all I could do was ball my eyes our :( Woke up from revision surgery with a drainage tube, so that the blood would now drain vs accumulate in the breast pocket causing pain. So I'm 3 days post 1st surgery, and 2 days post revision. My Dr is meticulous, so I 100% believe that I unfortunately fall in that 1/2 of 1% that this happens to. I can't do anything with my right arm, and this pain in the a*# drain stays in one week. Thankfully I have an AMAZING husband who's done everything from help me go to the bathroom, shower, get dressed, etc. I swear these boobs better looking nothing short of AMAZING when this is done and over with!!

Oh no! I'm so glad you had your post-op the next day and that your PS is on top of things, plus your husband is so awesome with taking good care of you! I'm so sorry that you're going through all that pain and inconvenience! Hopefully your recovery will be quick, smooth and your end results will be fabulous!

Getting better every day!

J375
I went in this morning to get all the gauze changed. And while the drain still stays in another week, today is the first day I can really say I'm feeling ok. My PS and his staff have gone above and beyond all expectations, calling to check on me multiple times a day. I was given his personal cell number and told not to hesitate calling any time of day no matter what the question is. My left side is riding a little high but starting to soften a little. My right side is riding a bit higher than the left, a bit harder, and feeling some numbness but told these are all normal changes to expect. I have some bruising and the slightest bit of pain where the drain is on the right side but nothing pain meds can't get me through :)

What was the fluid thing for?
June 23, 2016
I had a complication immediately following surgery :( During the 1st night post op I had intense pain and swelling on my right side only. At my follow up app the next morning my ps said I developed a hematoma. Would need same day surgery to remove right implant, drain blood and clean breast implant pocket, and replace with new implant. Because the was a lot of internal bleeding a drain was placed to prevent build up in breast. Supposedly this happens less than 1% of the time, I was just one of the unlucky.

Oh gosh sounds intense. What would have happened if your follow up would have been further out?
June 24, 2016
My ps calls every day to check on me. I'm sure had I not already had the appt, he would of had me come in anyway based on my symptoms and taken care of it the same way.
