52 Years Old, 2 Grown Kids, AA Forever, Recently Divorced -- So I Did Something for Myself and I Am So Happy!! - Chicago, IL

I am 52, and have 2 children (which I breastfed and subsequently lost some of my breast volume as at one time I was a small B cup). I had entertained the idea of breast augmentation only recently, following a divorce -- which left me with a renewed sense of self and a newfound desire to feel sexy again. I was encouraged by some friends to look into breast augmentation, and started to hear about women they knew who did it and loved their decision, never looking back. I became intrigued, and started to check out information on the internet. I quickly learned what I needed to know in order to move forward with my decision - mostly that it is a safe and relatively simple (as far as plastic surgery goes) procedure, that silicone was the way to go, that scary things like rupture of the implants and other complications are a thing of the past, and that the recovery is manageable. I started looking into plastic surgeons in the area, got some information about area practices, and around the same time a surgeon friend of mine told me about a PS he knew home he trusted, that he was the best around, and encouraged me to meet with him. I did so, and was impressed. He spent a lot of time with me, his doctor-patient approach was fabulous, and the office staff was very friendly and efficient. I scheduled my procedure the same day.
