After consulting with a few surgeons I have decided on Dr. Otto Placik in Chicago. He took the time to explain how my measurements effect my size choices and options. With his and his assistants assistance I decided that 425cc submuscular will give me what I am looking for.
As a bikini bodybuilding competitor my weight and fat percentage fluctuates throughout the year. When I am show ready my skin is super thin so one of my biggest concerns is looking overly fake during that time but I also want to make sure I have the size and shape that I desire all year long. I had a consult a few years ago before competing and I am so glad I didn't pull the trigger then because I have a whole new host of considerations to think about!
I have wanted this for so long and I am so excited that its finally becoming a reality!
I will post some photos from when I am stage lean and also some computer simulated projections from one of my consults of where I should end up size wise. The before in the simulations is my average size small A/B cup

He's such a nice Doctor!
February 13, 2018
yes! I’m super excited to have him as my surgeon!

Did you get to see him at all postop? Jennifer from his office told me that I’ll only be seeing Laura for postop unless there’s complication. That kind of bothers me considering it’s not a cheap procedure. How has your postop experience been
March 6, 2018
I haven’t had the surgery yet. I have pre-op scheduled on the 19th of this month so I guess I’ll ask about post op visits then.

I saw him one time post op. Post OP experience has been okay. I live in MO now, so all of my communication has only been with Laura. Which also sort of brothers me as well. I felt like they were pretty much quick with you when you see them post op- I didn't feel like I had enough time to think of all my questions that I wanted answers to. I would suggest writing questions down and bringing it in with you. Seems like they only have about 20min with each patient.

How exciting right around the corner!! are you getting saline or Silicone?
February 28, 2018
silicone I went back and forth mostly because of cost but I figure better to spend a little more and get what I really want!

Very true! I did saline the first time and it wasn’t what I expected now I have silicone.
February 27, 2018
Best of luck to you! We are similar in size and I’m Five Years post op of having UHP 480 silicone mentors. They are as awesome as they were from the start.
February 28, 2018
thanks! that makes me super excited to know they will stand the test of time!!

Which profile are you going with? I will be booking my BA with him for 4/12/18. I’m going back and forth on the size and where the incision will be. Will yours be in the crease? What are your stats?
March 4, 2018
oh yay! that’s just a few days before me mine is scheduled 4/19.
March 4, 2018
i am 5f7i getting 425cc high profile I’m 150 lbs but have a lot of muscle so I’m still on the thinner side
March 9, 2018
Hi there, we have very similar stats. Do you know what your BWD is? I’m just assuming that it’s pretty similar, and we’re starting out with very similar breast tissue or lack there of! LOL I’ve been recommended anywhere from 385 to 454 profile. Because I’ve been so torn on what size I liked, my PS is taking sizers from 385 to 450 and she will Put in what will fit the breast pocket and alleviate the large natural gap that I have currently. I don’t know if that’s an option for you with your PS if he or she takes sizers into the OR. 425 is probably going to be a good number for you. I’m leaning towards a 415, but only if that will fill the pocket correctly. My surgery is April 3 so you’ll just be right behind me! I started my review if you want to follow me. I will definitely follow you. I hope everything goes well with your consultations and all your preop’s!! Good luck!!! :)
March 10, 2018
hey awesome ya I will for sure follow your journey too! for BWD he said 12.5 would be my max to have a good natural pocket I could go 13 but there could be a higher chance of seeing the implant when I’m super lean. 425 high profile was exactly 12.5 diameter. I really liked the look of the 375 sizers with clothes so he said that would make the 425 implant perfect with loss of size for under the muscle
March 10, 2018
yes! I like the way the 375 to 385 sizers looked when I tried the silicone sizers on in my plastic surgeons office so that’s why I was told to look into the sizes into the 400s because that would give me that look that I’m looking for. I too am very lean and tall so I want to be very proportionate and not look like I just got a boob job! LOL and yes my BWD is 11 so the highest that I can go is about a 12.5 to 12.75. So thatPuts me into the 415 to 450. My husband thinks that I won’t be able to get the 450 because I don’t think my pockets will fit that I’m really hoping for the 415. I’m going to let my plastic surgeon know that ideally I want to stay in the 415 But I have a large gap in my natural anatomy so the 450 would give me a little bit more to close that gap so I can have better cleavage. But the 450 would be the maximum and that still would look proportionate on me. Very exciting!

Muscular Chest

FitMommaM
I posted a question to the docs if I would need to lay off training chest before surgery as I was concerned that the pecs may be too tight and cause issues. Overwhelmingly the docs responded no need to lay off training first but of course consult with my PS. My PS did say that I would be able to continue training chest after surgery with the submuscular approach I would just need to change my hand positioning and not too heavy which was great news cause I really enjoy training chest!

I do have to say that bench press is pretty uncomfortable for me, but more on one side than the other.
March 15, 2018
flat bench or incline? flat bench has always been a little uncomfortable for me anyway so I tend not to do it but I love my incline bench barbell and dumbbell!
March 23, 2018
chest day is one of my favorites, I'm bummed to hear this :/ Can you explain what is uncomfortable? Is it because of the pec muscle distorting the implant? Thank you!
User Avatar
March 23, 2018
Flat and incline. I’ve even felt weird stuff on my left side with lat pull down and some tricep work. It just feels like my left pec is grabbing the implant and pulling. You can actually see it while I’m laying down doing bench press, or the incline press.. probably sometimes with the lat pull down but haven’t seen myself in the mirror doing this. It’s not like that on the right side.. so I need to talk to my surgeon about this and see what he says. I imagine if it was a problem over all it would be BOTH, don’t you think?
March 23, 2018
I don’t have my implants yet I just personally don’t like flat bench that much!

Have you done a burpee in front of a mirror. The muscle distortion is pretty bad on that
March 23, 2018
I'm really excited for your journey. I do weight training too (definitely not as badass jacked as you are) but I'm so excited to see how this turns out for you.

My trainer has submuscal inplants, she does bar MU. I can't do them dt lack of coordination and strength.
User Avatar
May 19, 2018
I can also do bar MU. I did try a couple ring muscle ups but honestly afraid of doing those and having my implant burst out of the pocket lol
May 23, 2018
Be careful. The d avoid. Did d he mention animation deformity? Once you have t, the only way to fix is to move the implants o over the muscle.....you're pretty much dor formed for life. Many girls who explant unders are left with a window shade deformity from where the muscle was released. Plus, exercises she can cause lateral displace, net of the implant itself. I've had 5 BA s and have a chest like yours. None f the doctors recommended unders .....something to consider and research further. Search flex deformity.....

Pre-op appointment!!

1 more month from today so stinking excited!!! Also decided to go a little bigger my BWD is actually 14 so I had some more wiggle room than I thought and I seriously felt a huge difference in look when I bumped up to the next size so 450cc HP Silicone gel it is!!! It really just looked so much more balanced it was crazy! Also the nurse let me know that the PS noted he may want to do some liposuction to my right breast as it’s slightly bigger must have missed that in the first consult!

Right on. I am 5'7" 130 Muscle-y and am thinking 400 under Moderate. Did you go with HP because you said you fluctuate fat % and wanted the same shape all year? I wanted a more natural look so I'm scared of the HP.
March 27, 2018
I really liked the projection I got with high profile and once I found the right size for me it felt “natural” it that makes sense.

I think 450 is great. It’s not even a tablespoon bigger than 425. I just has my surgery this morning. Dr P had great bedside manners. My husband met him for the first time today and I liked him right away. You will do great. I am actually having very little pain, mostly just discomfort. Not sure if I’ll still the same tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed. Oh, and bring a travel neck pillow with you, and 2 pillows on the side to rest your arms. It made my ride home so much more comfortable that I was able to sleep in the car! Good luck and I can’t wait to see your new additions next week! XOXO
April 12, 2018
thanks so much!!! I will for sure bring the pillow! I can’t wait to be on the other side! hope you stay relatively pain free!!
