23 Y/o No Children, No More Padded Bras, Stubborn Fat. Chicago, IL

Prior to surgery- To be honest this wasn’t something I have been wanting my entire life. It was something that I came across recently. My parents didn’t like “plastic surgery”; I was always told you should love your body. Don’t mess with what body was given to you. Well I found myself always wearing push up bras or avoiding certain blouses because I did not like the way they looked. I finally came across a before and after photo on the web with a women who had breast augmentation. I loved the way her breast looked and they didn’t look unnatural either. This was one of the biggest fears of mine (as it may be for everyone else). I didn’t want my family, especially my family judging me. I started my research and found that there was a surgeon near my home town that performed this type of procedure. I searched, looked at reviews, compared photos and reviews. I decided to start my journey and went to a consultation. I scheduled a consultation with Dr.Placik first. He was one of the surgeons that had a lot of positive reviews about him, the results, the staff and overall experience. Well I went in for a consultation and had a great consultation. It was super informative, information that I didn’t even know regarding breast augmentation. To be honest the surgery kind of scared me. I was brought back and talked to the lovely girls who took my history in detail, meet with Dr.Placik…..HUGE relief. He had great bedside manners, made me feel comfortable and didn’t tell me it was going to be a walk in the park. He did not try to SELL me the surgery as other surgeons may do. I decided to go to another consultation just to make sure that I was making the right decision. Within minutes of meeting the other physician I knew that I would be going with Dr.Placik. The comfort level with Dr.Placik and his team was so relieving. Something that I did not feel with the other physician. I scheduled my procedure .

I had surgery and I thought I would be in more pain then what I was experiencing. I ended up adding liposuction to my abdomen and hips to the surgery. I was experiencing more nausea the first three days than pain. I would say pain was manageable with pain meds but nausea was the worst. I stopped taking Norco and switched to lighter pain medication. I felt so much better! This day I was finally able to see my new breast and flat tummy and hips. I was SOO happy!

My breast no longer feel stiff/hard. The breast exercises that I was instructed to do have helped soften them up a lot! They actually feel like they are part of me now. J My abdomen and hips are still slightly sore, but they did let me know that soreness along liposuction sites was normal. As the swelling goes down I can really see the definition and SUPER happy I decided to add on the liposuction.
