BBL Journey - No Waist, Square Butt

Hello ladies,
I have been on this site for some time now, and I just put my deposit down for a BBL for July 17th. I am so excited! I need a tummy tuck, too, but I decided not to combine the procedures and will save that for next year.
I am 5'2", 160 lbs and a size 10 now. I used to have an ok butt, but as I'm getting older, it's disappearing. Also, I have no waist at all. I'm very rectangle-shaped. I have realistic expectations - I would just like to have a waist and a decent butt. The lipo on my abs should help, but I will not have a flat tummy as I have a ton of skin from having a kid. Still, I'm exciting about my belly getting smaller.
I chose Dr. Shifrin because of his work and also his reputation for being a caring doctor. My experience thus far has confirmed that he truly does care about his patients.
I am gonna try and lose maybe 5 more lbs in the next few weeks, but I won't be crash-dieting or anything. It's best to be stable before surgery.
I'm definitely apprehensive about going under general anesthesia and the pain afterwards, but I've wanted this for so long and so badly, I know it will all be worth it.

Current pic and consult summary

I had actually done a virtual consult with pics and paid my deposit before I came in for a consultation. I was seen at first by Dr. West (PA-C) and then Dr. Shifrin. Both took their time with me to answer my questions, give me their opinions on realistic expectations for outcome, and talk about the procedure itself. I was really pleased with my experience in person and am very much looking forward to this surgery. They do make you get in your underwear but you don't need to be nude.
Thankfully, they told me I had a good frame to begin with and I should have great results. I showed them a few pics and said i wanted a heart-shaped butt that was proportional and nice, but not "big." I'm including both my pic from this morning and the shape I hope to have (with a slightly bigger butt).

I can't wait to see your results. I'm scheduled for a consultation June 9th. I'm hoping to get by with just a BBL, but I think a TT might be needed. I'll see what he suggests.

Thanks! I am super excited. If you have loose skin on your stomach, you'll probably need a TT. He didn't tell me I HAD to have one, but rather I would not be happy with my stomach with just lipo. Yes, the volume would be less but I would still have the hanging skin. He does BBL/TT combo surgeries, but I prefer to separate the surgeries for ideal results for both.

I have my bbl with him August 10th. I too am very square shaped like you. Jeans look horrible on me. I'm small 5"2 120 pounds but Shifrin told me not to gain any weight. He assured me I'll be fine with what I have. I'm mostly scared about the post op healing. It seems Intence. Anyway I can't wait to see your after results.

I'll definitely post results when I get home and then afterwards as well. I'm very excited but also very nervous! Just 3 weeks from tomorrow. Eek!

Oh my gosh. My surgery date was changed to July 6th. A week away. I'm so scared.

3 weeks to go! Pre-op visits complete
Scarlett717June 25, 2017
A few days ago, I went to both my regular doctor for my pre-op labs and also Dr. Shifrin for my pre-op appointment. Labs turned out fine and I got cleared for surgery by my primary, although I swear he was mocking me a little for doing this procedure. Hmm.
Anyway, the visit with Dr. Shifrin went well - except for a very long wait. I was in his office about 90 minutes and came on my lunch hour, so that was tough. I filled out the surgery consent forms and paid the bill balance first. The surgery coordinator then gave me pre-op and post-op instructions and to be honest, that combined with all the risks listed in the consent forms, made me very nervous and anxious. But I am still going through with it. At this time, I also received the prescriptions I'll be needing post-surgery (painkillers and antibiotics) and iron supplements to start taking now.
Next, an assistant came in and took my "before" pics in various poses, and then finally Dr. Shifrin came in to answer any questions that I had about the procedure. I have to say I was not SO shy during my consult, but during this visit, I was very self-conscious about my body and the idea of two men being all up in my business. I mean, I get it - they are professionals - but still. I was already so self-conscious about my cellulite, and just in the last few weeks, I developed these horrible ingrown hairs and folliculitis on the back of my legs. I mean, I'm talking like 20-30 dark brown spots like a leopard. So now, I look even more hideous naked. Ugh. I did go see a dermatologist yesterday and she gave me an antibiotic but told me the spots will not lighten much in the next few weeks. I still bought some Bio-oil anyway - a girl can dream.
