I was extremely nervous to get this procedure. The doctor assured me that everything would be fine. I had the procedure at the Magna Surgical Center. The nurses were very nice and friendly. My appointment was at 1:00 pm. I was in the back and prepped with my IV by 1:30. The surgery went great. Next thing I remember, I was waking up. First day the pain on a scale of 1 to 10 was about. 12. It felt like you had an extreme workout session. The pain medicine minimized the pain but it did not stop it completely. The hardest part was the stiffness and soreness which made it hard to get in and out of bed. My legs were so swollen from the lipo. I had no leakage. I thought it was weird, so I called and they told me that it was ok because it comes out in the urine. I just have a compression belt and leg wraps now. I will get the compression garment when I go back for my 2nd follow up appointment. Be prepared to use your arms to lift yourself up and down in the bed. That to me is the most painful. Overall, satisfied with the procedure. It's a journey.

The swelling in the legs is so annoying. You can't sit, so it's really hard to elevate your feet and legs it hurts when you get up out of the bed and it hurts to stand . The ice does not really help the swelling.

How are you doing today?

I went in for my 1 week post op. I told the doctor that my legs and feet were swollen. He said everything looked good, and the swelling was part of the healing process. He said to keep icing the areas. I got my fajha today. So I am real excited about that. I am 8 days post op. I was able to get in and out of the car by myself. I tried sitting on that BBL pillow but it was very uncomfortable. So on the way back home I just kneeled on the back seat and eventually layed down. That felt so much better. This healing process is definitely going to take a minute.

Cool - thanks for the update. My BBL is scheduled for July 17 and I plan to go back to work 9 days later. Your pain levels are giving me second thoughts

I don't have pain just stiffness and lack of full mobility in my legs. I had inner thigh lipo so that's why my legs are sore and stiff. The lipo of the abs is minimal discomfort. My biggest concern is trying to do stuff and go places when you can't sit down. The bbl pillow is uncomfortable. I tried to drive with it yesterday. It was very weird and uncomfortable. What are you planning on doing as far as sitting down while at work? Best of luck to you. The procedure itself is the easy part. The worst part to me is the recovery. Let me know how things go for you.

I will have lipo to my abs, arms, bra rolls, and flanks and then a BBL. I heard that you have to use your arms to push yourself up but my arms will be sore, so I'm nervous about that part. Regarding the pillow, when I went in for my pre_op, Dr Shifrin's asst had just gotten it done 3 weeks ago, and she was using a log pillow. I might get one of that for work and possibly a BBL pillow for the car. It's only 10 days away so I need to figure this out!

Sorry - one more question- how much were you leaking on your ride home? How bloody/stained did your clothes get?

Oh ok. yea you do have to use your arms every time you get out of bed. i am sure they will give you some type of wraps. They wrapped my legs in ace bandages so that helped a lot. You know that you won't leave with a faja on. They give you a binder which is kind of like an elastic belt. I did not get the faja until the one week post op appointment. Today is day 12 post op. I feel much better. I was able to do a little cleaning and cooking. That faja helps alot with the stiffness.Everybody was talking about that BBL pillow, but to me its not comfortable, but I have been trying to use it today since I bought it. The roll pillow will probably be more comfortable. I bought the boppy pillow to sit on after three weeks. I bought all those bed pads, but I did not need them. I did not bleed or leak at all. I am so glad about that. The one thing that was life saver was the Pee Ez urinal. It was a life saver the first few days. I got it off amazon. What location are you having the procedure done at? The staff at the Magna Surgical Center were great.

Legs and knees still very swollen. It's hard to bend down to put on clothing. I started having a twitching pain shooting through my leg and side. The doctor said it was the nerves reconnecting. I still have numbness in both legs. Overall not too bad. I stopped taking pain meds. The doctor said all of this was part of the healing process. I can't wait to be able to sit down.

How do u feel your results look great
July 6, 2017
Thank you. I have only been wearing a binder around my waist. I will start wearing my fahja tomorrow. So hopefully that will bring down the swelling in my thighs and abs. I feel better today as far as the soreness and stiffness. I do get tired throughout the day due to all the constant standing or walking around. No pain just sore and stiff.
