12 days post op BBL

I am a tiny framed, 5' 3'', 108 lbs woman. I had narrow hips and small butt. I was scheduled for a BBL a few years ago...I had gained 16 lbs, bought my plane ticket, had my accommodations set, but canceled the day before surgery. In between then, i worked out vigorously to build a booty (and made good progress) and I had a beautiful baby who is now 17 months old. Since I could not commit as much time to the gym as I could prebaby, my butt shrank and I lost all the muscle mass I worked so hard to gain.
I went back to the BBL drawing board and found Dr. Shifrin. I heard great things about him but his results spoke for themselves. I planned on a BBL with fat grafted from everywhere and anywhere he could pull from. At my 2 week preop appointment, he determined that I did not have enough fat to graft to achieve the desired results. Although I was against implants, worried that they would look and feel fake, i didn't have a lot of options. I could've stayed with my tiny butt (which I was very unhappy with), worked out for hours a day in the gym (unrealistic with a 1 year old and full time job), or finally go for it.... I went with BBL with implants - fat grafting to hips.
So far, I am in LOVE with my results. I am a week and a half post op and I realize everything will settle, but i'd be very happy if my shape stayed like this. I finally have hips and finally have an ass!
The recovery has been rough, mostly because I developed a terrible rash all over my body and the itching has been been so intense, it's driving me crazy. I broke out in hives after the pain meds, d/c those, then broke out again from the antibiotics, d/c those, and am finishing up my steroid dose pack. The rash hasn't fully resolved, but is much better. Dr recommended for my tubes to come out on day 5. I thought it was too soon since i was still draining quite a lot, but went for several lymphatic massages that I believe helped tremendously.
I go in for my post op visit this week. I hope all goes well because I am scheduled to go back to work this weekend and will be on my feet all day. Wish me luck!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Shifrin and his staff. Everyone has been so kind and patient throughout this process. Most of all, I am so grateful to have found a wonderful doctor in my city.
