Slight vent

I had my one week post op appointment, my doctor seemed pretty optimistic about my healing. I was put in a new bbl garment, which is a little weird but much better than the binder I was in. My complaint is that now that most of the swelling has subsided, my butt isn’t as big. I know there will be changes, just trying not to get disappointed so early. It hasn’t even been two week!

Aww, sorry to hear your butt isn't as big as you thought it would be. I hope once the swelling goes down you will be happier with your results. Did you have any lose skin on your abdomen?

No loose skin, yet. There’s still a little swelling left. But I have had a child and it’s made my stretch marks more pronounced. I don’t really mind that, though. They’re like battle scars!

You look good to be so early post op. I’m scheduled for Monday with a Dr. here in STL. I’m getting a little nervous more about the post op part and not the procedure. I’m hoping my stomach looks a little like yours since I have stretch marks from my babies as well. I’m hoping he can get it as flat as possible. I absolutely don’t want a tummy tuck. Anyways you look great, so early.

Thank you! I’m sure you will do fine. I think having gone through pregnancy makes recovery easier, honestly. The office staff was really surprised I was up and moving so quickly. I just kept saying it wasn’t as bad as childbirth.

Things will change a lot over the next few months. I think I have finally fluffed since having my BBL. There’s hope!

Still recovering...

milf_doll35
Today is maybe day 6. It’s not so bad. I drove for the first time, which wasn’t super comfortable, but I got the job done. I am still SUPER SWOLLEN in my lady parts, which looks really weird and makes walking and bending interesting.
Sleeping last night was horrible. My garment felt like it was lined with razor blades. I finally took it off at about 3am. Thankfully, I go for my one week follow up in two days. I will be in a full Faja at that point. I’m hoping that helps. I also realized I hadn’t had as much water as i normally do and i think that definitely contributed to me feeling bad.
I still have no appetite. Fruit is my friend, but I am not getting many full meals in.
My belly is noticeably flatter and my butt is spotted with bruises, which is kind of funny. I look like a cheetah girl.

you look aaaaammmaazzing. i have always wondered, do they put you to sleep on the surgery table or before then? I get so nervous of this lol. also, how did you feel when you woke up? was the pain really bad or did it feel like a deep bruise? i'm so nervous :( please get back to me! thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Thank you! I was awake when they wheeled me back to the surgical room. I moved myself to the table, but was asleep not long after. When I woke up I was FREEZING and laying on my back. My butt HURT! But I was more concerned with getting warm and not throwing up. The pin on day 1 was like when you work out really hard and you’re sore, but EVERYWHERE. Hope this helps!

Home and already bored!

I did it! Officially 2 days post-op. I read a LOT of reviews and posts, but there were still a lot of surprises:1. Dizzy spells. There were a couple of times where I was feeling perfectly normal, then suddenly I’d get hot, sweaty, lightheaded and nauseated. It was totally unexpected, but according to my doctor, totally normal.2. The bleeding. I didn’t have drains, and there were stitches in certain places but by the end of day one I was leaking profusely. I had medical pads for the bed, my mom just ran to the store for jump maxi pads. By the time I was up and moving on day 2, it had stopped. 3. Ice. My surgeon recommended I ice as much as possible. I haven’t come up with a fool-proof plan on how to do this without getting soaking wet or missing some areas, but I’ll continue to work on that.4. Appetite. I have none. I’m going to try protein shakes, but I really just want fruit.5. Lady parts. They SWELL (Note the caps lock). This isn’t just a little swelling, this is a whole lotta swelling in an area that normally doesn’t look like that. Picture a naked Ken doll, now triple that.So far, my results look great! I am feeling like a real person, and I will try to remember to post the process along the way.

Thanks for the tips. I found out from someone who works at the clinic who had a BBL how to use the ice. She told me to get 8 sponges medium size to fit inside a medium size Ziploc bag. You soak the sponges in cold water and place 2 of them inside the Ziploc bags. You should have 8 Ziploc bags with 2 sponges in each bag. Double each bag to avoid any water from leaking out and freeze them. Once the sponges are completely frozen, place them on top of your tank top 2 1 Ziploc bag on each hip, 1 ziploc bag on your stomach and 1 ziploc bag on your back. Then place your compression garment over the Ziploc bags to secure them in place. She said this helped tremendously with the swelling. I hope this is helpful.
