POD7

I feel 100% back to normal. I went to work on POD5. Only took norco for the first two days, Valium to sleep the first two nights and ibuprofen for the rest. I feel really great, can shower and drive! Still sleep on my back though!

I have always considered this procedure. I'm 29yo, 140lbs and 5'3". I work in the medical field. I've never loved my breast. But It didn't get serious until about April where I went to see Dr. Lorri Cobbins in the West Loop area of Chicago. She is absolutely great. She has amazing bedside manner.
She was the only plastic surgeon I visited, but I did my research online. I'm a surgery resident at one of the hospitals here and didn't want people I worked with to know. Dr. Cobbins was great. I immediately felt at ease with her. The consultation was $100 and is applied towards the final cost. A few week after my consultation, I finally decided to tell my fiancé. We were at a wedding and I was a little buzzed and finally told him. Initially he was a little shocked because I don't think he was aware how self conscious I was about my body. Tears were shed (but likely mostly because of all the tequila). The next day, he told me he loved me no matter what and if this is something that I wanted to do, then he'd support me. He asked a lot of questions and even wanted to go to my preop appointment. The preop appy was June 5. We finalized the size which was 371 medium profile allergab implants. She showed me the next size up which was 393 (or something like that) but that looked to large. I also didn't want to look too too heavy especially with my frame. The fiancé wanted me to consider 337, but I decided to get 371. I hear people get boob greed! I filled out the consent forms and paid. My surgery was yesterday. I showed up an hour earlier than my scheduled time which was 9:30. I peed in a cup, changed into a robe, socks, cap. The nurse started my IV. I requested it to be in the arms instead of the hands because the hands is where you feel the proposal burn. She was able to accomodate me. Then everyone else said hello- the anesthesiologist, OR nurse. Dr. Cobbins. The anesthesiologist was very nice and sweet. I even asked him if he could use an LMA instead of an ETT (more invasive) for general anesthesia and he said yes! Next, they walked me over to the OR. I got up on the bed. I felt a little whoozy and head dizzy and that's when I knew he had given me some versedz after that, i remember nothing! I awoke in the recovery area drinking Capri Sun and had some apple juice. My fiancé came in and chatted for a bit and then we went home!I didn't buy any special equipment/ supplies like some people do. I used a lot of pillows and camped out on the couch. I took my Norco/ibuprofen and alternated those for pain. I started my antibiotics (keflex) that evening and took a valium eighth before bed. I slept so well!Honestly my pain is a 3-4/10. It feels like pressure with a lot of push-ups today Is only post-op day1, so I'll update as time goes.Let me know if you have questions!<3
