Chin/Neck Liposuction Done with SmartLipo Triplex was a Success!!! - Chicago Cosmetic Institute Location, Chicago, IL

I had lipo done on my chin/neck area using the SmartLipo Triplex Laser with doctor Karol A. Gutowski the first week of March. Everything was done in office and the procedure itself was not painful at all except for the local anesthesia shots the doctor injected to numb me up but even that wasn't too bad as I have high pain tolerance. After that, everything went smoothly and the whole procedure was done in almost under 1 hour.
I'm now about 5 weeks post op and am extremely satisfied. I must emphasize that the success of my neck lipo was due to Dr. Gutowski's unique skills and talent and not due to the Laser technology used, although I am getting the benefits of skin tightening that SmartLipo Triplex provides. Dr. Gutowski said that my full results could take 6 months or up to a year to show; however, I'm seeing some early results already. My neck and jawline are already showing some definition and I can feel that my neck skin is tightening little by little with every passing week.
One of my main concerns was that uneven fat removal could leave me with ridges, bumps, lumps and depressions so I asked the doctor how he addresses that. He told me that he uses a cross-hatching technique to suck out fat evenly and for this purpose he uses 3 incision sites, two located around below my ear and one under the chin, where he inserts a cannula the size of a pen tip. The incision sites leave minimal scarring that fade over time because they're closed with sutures. He was right, at 5 weeks post op I don't have any skin irregularities that so many people complain about on this site and I thank that to Dr. Gutowski's skills, experience and expertise. My neck skin is as smooth as it was before; however, there is still a little bit of swelling and tenderness subsiding slowly every week; these side effects are a normal part of any post liposuction healing.

The only discomfort I had was with using the neck compression garment post op. I wore it for the first 2 weeks 24/7 and the third week for 12 hours at bedtime. Sometimes I felt like the chin strap was choking me, especially the first days post op. I had to loosen up the compression garment to fix this.
Last week I saw Dr. Gutowski and he said that my results will continue to improve over the next six months to a year as I'm still in the early healing stages.
