Mirvaso works... at first. I had extremely MILD redness in my T-zone and I thought I'd try something to get rid of it. Although it made my skin look like Snowwhite during the day, as soon as it wore off (anywhere from 5-8 hours), i got horrendous rebound redness. There were days that it looked like I had a chemical burn on my face. The only discomfort I experienced was the intense heat from my skin during times of flare-ups...which was practically daily.
NOTE: I showed my dermatologist pictures of the terrible redness after about 6 months to a year, and she told me: "You just have sensitive capillary beds." (Not true!)
Please keep track and be mindful of your own skin! My skin was not bad before this treatment and after I discontinued it, my skin almost has returned to normal. I no longer get crazy flare-ups when I have a glass of wine, take a hot bath, or lay outside (with a sunhat mind you). This medication is not worth the 400 dollars for 50% of the time whiteness.
If you have bad rosacea on a few areas of your face, this might be the medication for you:) But for someone with sensitive skin and extremely mild redness -- Look elsewhere!

Mirvaso has done exactly the same to my face. It’s red and looks horrible. I’m so depressed. Did you use anything in particular to calm it down or did it happen on its own?

I just stopped using it completely! It probably returned to normal within a week or so. But I saw a difference within 2 days of stopping Mirvaso. Best of luck to you love

In case you are curious, I now use Eucerin Redness Relief (over the counter at walgreens) and my skin looks normal now:)

Hey Katystone means a lot to me thanks! Oh I’ll defo try Eucerin but my skin is like super dry. Is yours the same? Also if you don’t mind me asking what are you currently using for Rosácea? I stopped using the Mirvaso 3 days ago and I can feel my face returning to normal. I’m currently on the MetroGel and Lymacine capsules. Fingers crossed I don’t need a laser :(

I actually decided that I'd rather live with my mild rocasea than go through the wringer again trying expensive face creams:( I'm not even sure if I have classic rosacea. I've just always had mild redness.
My skin is not dry natutrally, its actually a bit oily. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Yes same here I always flushed and blushed easily. But the thing is I have been off Mirvaso since a few days now and previously I was using metrogel. Even that doesn’t seem to be effective ever since I’ve come off Mirvaso though it was helping me considerably before :( You’re right to make peace with it but they say it gets worse if you don’t treat it and the prospect is scary.

I have been using Mirvaso for over 18 months.. I mean, when a mild rosacea, only a very few spots on my face, I just used the gel once a week. God, I was so happy! My skin was no redness whatsoever! Then, in April 2018, I noticed a small, red, penny-size spot on my cheek. Well, to cover it, I started using Mirvaso every day (it worked for a few hours) - and I noticed my cheeks started getting more red, skin was sensitive and itchy. I spoke to my dermatologist and she said: Oh, you have sensitive skin, you have rosacea, use more Miravaso, you will be fine. So I followed her directions.. do I have to tell you that a 10-days Mirvaso supply cost over $700? My face started looking TERRIBLE!!! Red, itchy, burn-looking - the spots became HUGE! I was not able to cover them - unless, of course, I would use Miravaso - then it was ok for about 1 hour. Came back to the doctor - she gave me some medications so I put the steroid ointment first and then .... yes - she told me to put Mirvaso! In the meantime my lips started looking strange - they got swollen, extremely dry, looked like cracked with clear discharge.. So painful. So ugly. I was not able to sleep, my face felt like someone put salt on open wounds... The pain woke me up several times a night. I looked like horrible. I saw a few doctors until one (!) - God bless her - was smart (and brave) enough to tell me the truth: it was Mirvaso's side effect: rebound redness. She said that a lot of dermatologists strongly recommend Mirvaso because they accept pharma gifts so they often prescribe unnecessary expensive drugs (often knowing that they are not going to help anyway). Guys, for any reason, please do not use Mirvaso! My face looks awful.. my skin became so thin and wrinkly that you cannot even imagine. Find an HONEST dermatologist who can help you...

Absolutely, I hope you've stopped that medication since then!
