Stitches removed

Had stitches removed. Eyelid is still swollen and tender but OMG I love it (with the understanding that the redness will fade over time).

Not sure why there's a 200 character requirement on an update so blah blah blah

Cherry Angioma/Red Mole Removal!

For the last few years I started developing a red mole on my eyelid. I went to the dermatologist and he said it was a "cherry angioma" and it was fine to do nothing. At that time it was small and didn't bother me so I moved on. Fast forward to 2022 it grew considerably and was super annoying seeing it on video calls -- it was all I could see! I asked a new dermatologist about it in January and she didn't seem confident about removing it and even recommended I see her esthican for IPL on my eyelid! I've had IPL several times on my whole face for discoloration and just didn't feel that was the solution! I sorta gave up at that point...

Fast forward to October 2022 I started heavily researching someone to remove my mole as I was so tired of it's appearance. I didn't want to see a dermatologist again as I was very disappointed in the last one. I decided to see a plastic suergon with reviews talking about their mole removal experience. I booked my appointment and fortunately only had to wait a week to be seen. During the consultation the doctor said he can remove it right then. My nerves were shot as I've wanted this for awhile but this is a very sensitive place to have a removal! The doctor's assistant was so kind and reassuring and told me she had him remove multiple moles from her face and how he does eyelid surgery frequently so i have nothing to worry about. The doctor gave me a shot of anesthesia which stung like crazy and turn he cut the mole off and placed 2 stitches in. My eyelid swelled up pretty bad the first night and was a bit painful .. maybe a 6 out of 10. After the first night the pain became more of a 3 out of 10. I am on day 4 post procedure and have bruising. The bruising along my eyelash is more painful than the stitches. In 4 days I get the 2 stitches removed. I cannot wait to see the results after the bruising/swelling goes away and the scars fade.

I think I'm going to be happy with result but won't have a better idea until after the stitches are removed

I wanted to share my story as I've had this mole since 2018 and was very scared to get it removed. I hope it heals well and others are encouraged to get their mole removed if it bothers them.
