Melanage Micropeel
ORIGINAL POST
Melanage Micropeel
WORTH IT$200
It's been six months since I met with my trusted and skilled esthetician, Kelly.
My skin lost its "luster and shine", and Kelly suggested a Melanage Micropeel, explaining to me that it was suitable for most skin types and would help create an overall brighter complexion. It also helps in reducing fine lines through collagen stimulation.
It was virtually a painless and rather fast procedure. It is now two days post procedure and as you can see in my above photo, that my entire face is peeling, as expected.
I was informed by Kelly that I should refrain from picking or peeling off my dead skin. I applied a gentle moisturizer to aid in the healing process.
I am hoping to achieve significant improvements in my appearance of fine lines and help to stimulate collagen production. I will update in one week.

Three weeks post peel
My skin feels soooo smooth. I peeled for almost two weeks!!! My face/neck is glowing with pretty new skin. This was the only peel that I’ve ever experienced to “shed” for so long, and it just seemed like the skin peeling was thick pieces of dead skin. AWESOME

Looking amazing as always!!! Thank you for sharing your experience. Are you still experiencing peeling? Hugs to U!

Hi my friend!! This peel was the longest "peeling" peel ( lol) I ever had. It made my skin feel wonderful and now glowing.
I'm actually scheduled for a facelift and neck lift next month, but kind of doubtful now with the corona virus. Oh well, I shall have to put it on hold. No big deal, in the spectrum of things going on in the world right now. Hope you are safe. Any tweaking for you in the future. Was your job effected with this chaos?

Hi Randi! I've done botox twice now, luv it! Facelift is holding up ok, even after chemo. I work in public safety, so we are exceptionally busy, but safe. Take care of yourself and god bless.

I'm happy to hear that your facelift is on point!!! Yes, Botox is the bomb.com!!! Love love love it, only if it lasted longer for all of the $$$$.
You are a police officer, correct?
How are you feeling after chemo? Refresh my memory, breast cancer? How does it affect your implants? Are you regaining your strength? I pray for good health for you my gorgeous kind loving spiritual friend. Dear G-d... look after my beautiful friend!!! Hugs.

Hey Randi!! Long time since I've been on here!i see you were able to get in before the corona virus hit! Is your facelift still scheduled for May?

HELLO!!!!
Leigh, you were MIA! Hope you're doing well with this pandemic. Are you in hibernation?
Haven't heard from Dr.Sweis yet as to my surgery. I'd assume that it will be postponed. No big deal, in the scheme of things going on. I am very confident that I will look 15 years younger when it's all said and done. She's a guru in facelifts.
I am in desperate need of Botox now. Omg. I look like one big wrinkle on my forehead.
How are you feeling? I miss our little conversations here on RealSelf. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Hugs. Happy Easter. Love you. Randi

I'm in need of Botox too! As of now, doctors can start seeing patients again on April 30th. I have an appointment then. We shall see. East TN has not been hit as hard as some other places. We are lucky in that regard. I'm missing my routine and exercise. I'm in the mental health profession so I've been working. Albeit, much less and via telehealth. So far, we've been able to stay healthy and are very thankful for it. I will be checking in on you for your facelift!!! Next on my agenda is an arm lift. Probably next year in February. Much love to you!

Ms. Leigh!
What else can you possibly need.. you're just perfection!!! Botox is a short lived fix, but OHHHHH such a feeling of gratification after those pesty wrinkles are history.
My ps is not taking appointments as of now. She's hoping to open her business on May 1st. But, anything can happen between now and then , as we all know.
Are you a psychiatrist? I'm sure mental health is in extreme demand now. Everyone is suffering from some degree of depression. I don't know of anyone here that's not struggling either mentally or financially. Are you wearing a face mask and gloves while working?
I'm really not venturing out too much. Basically just for groceries. I'm in the "over 60" group, which is high risk for this virus.
So, you have your next journey planned!!?? You go girl. Is there major downtime with that surgery? I'd imagine you will be wearing some compression bandages for awhile with that.
I'm trying not to get hyped with my surgery right now. I'm not sure if she'll want to postpone it.
But, I'm ecstatic thinking about how nice it will be to have a more defined jawline and having no jowls. lol.
She's known for her facelifts. It's her specialty. I will not look "done", just a softer younger version of my old self. I adore her artistic work, and all of her talents!!
I love receiving your messages. You always put a smile on my face. Love ya girlfriend. Be safe. Hugs. Randi

Hi Randi!!! If you celebrate Easter--HAPPY EASTER--if not, HAPPY SUNDAY xoxo. Guess what I just looked up today??? Hair line reduction!! I'm wondering if that would be done at the same time as my facelift??? I want my arm lift next then face lift. I was just noticing how high my forehead is. Must be age because I never noticed it before. Hmmm.

So, May 1st??? Yeah that might get pushed back. But, it's so close anyway. Woot woot!! I kinda feel guilty talking about plastic surgery when we're in a pandemic. However, it gives me something to think about that makes me happy!! Ha!! Glad o hear you're hunkered down and safe. We're safe too. TN was not hit as bad as other places. Hopefully, stores and shops can return to normal soon. No, I'm not a psychiatrist. I'm a licensed professional counselor. I specialize in trauma and addiction. It's my second career. I was a real estate agent in Atlanta, Ga. for 19 years!! I've been a therapist since I moved to Knoxville in 2008. Crazy journey life is!!

Keep me posted on your FL journey. Much love sent your way. Xoxo

Happy Easter!! It's pretty sad to be in isolation during a holiday! It just makes you appreciate your family all the more!!
Why a hair line reduction? You crack me up!! I'm exactly the same as you!! I feel like my hair is thinning now and my hairline is set back more now. This game of getting old... it's not what I signed up for. And, it seriously happens overnight. No JOKE!!!
No, my surgery (?) is planned for May 18, but it's up for grabs still. I feel the same about talking to anyone about my upcoming surgery. It's just sounds selfish. But, like you said, it makes me SMILE!! I wish there was some magic pill that could restore our hairline back to what it was years ago. And, my body like it was years ago. Lol.
I'm already thinking about what I can do after this... hmmmm.
You have a very well respected job. How nice to be an advocate for trauma and addiction. Pretty rewarding when you can help someone turn their life around. And... you are a real estate agent too??? Boy, you are a busy lady. I'm sure these jobs help you pay for all of your tweakings! I save up my money too, I call it my mad money account.
Do you work more than 40 hours a week? I admire you for your tenacity and drive to keep busy!! You go girl!!!
Be safe Ms. Leigh. Are you wearing gloves and a mask when you venture out?
Hugs to you!!! Love. Peace. Hugs.

Does this peel off wrinkles? Is there anything that does that?

July 27, 2020
This peel actually helps eliminate fine lines, which eventually turns into deep wrinkles. It's more of a preventative treatment. Wrinkles are treated most effectively with a laser. More costly and more downtime. I wish there was a magic peel that could just peel off every single ugly wrinkle. Wouldn't that be great!!! We women would be wrinkle free!!!!!

July 28, 2020
Yes that would be amazing! Thanks for the info... I will have to look into lasers...

You can actually look at my facelift review. That's a good review to view my facial
skin. There are some close ups on there. Where do you live?? I'm in Chicago and have a fabulous plastic surgeon who dies all sorts of lasers.

July 29, 2020
Wow that's so good to know! I would feel so much more comfortable with a recommendation! I'm in Michigan about 2 hours from you!

Her name is Dr. Iliana Sweis. Her location is in Northbrook, Illinois. Phone is listed on her website! Good luck, you will be in awe with her from the "get go"!

Fine lines yes..... folds no. Folds are gravity and has to be pulled up, but fine lines are caused from
Creasing.... as long as they’re not deep can be peeled.
