So after two long years and losing 130 pounds with diet and exercising (woohoo go me!) I decided to go ahead and get on with my tummy tuck and liposuction. No I was not at my goal weight but I had been at a standstill for a few months now and I am hoping that this procedure will motivate me enough to start losing a bit more weight and keep toning up my legs and arms.
I weighed about 205 when I had this done on May 1st 2013. He removed 17 pounds of skin and fat from the liposuction. I was shocked when I heard this amount. When I woke up from the surgery I had two drains one on each side. They were not a problem except for the drain on my left side. Fluid kept leaking out of the incision site all day and night long. I mean I bled through my garments and a very large beach towel because there was SO much fluid leaking out. I went back to see the surgeon the next day and he told me this was totally normal because they put 3 liters of fluid inside me and since there is no more fat the liquid had to find a place to go. It’s been 6 days since then and it’s still leaking a bit but they are taking my drains out later today and he says this will stop the leaking.
Besides that my pain was normal. Took the pain killers for a few days and still can’t walk straight but I couldn’t be happier with my results! Like I said I wasn’t at my goal weight but this is what I wanted and I am glad I did it even with some of the negative reactions my “friends” had.
I weight myself this morning and am done ten pounds. I couldn’t believe it. I am not complaining what so ever. Now I am curious to know what my pants will be like once all my swelling goes down.
All the pictures I have are from 5 days post op and I think they look wonderful. Feedback is always welcome to help with scarring or swelling or any questions I am open to answering any and all.

Well it's been one week now :) got my drains taken...
Well it's been one week now :) got my drains taken out on day 6 and holy crap! I have never been more comfortable :)
My drains didn't hurt at all to be removed I didn't even know they were removed till she told me. I also went back to work which I have a desk job and I do a lot of walking around. It's been going well.
I get very sore around 4 and tired and want to go home and sleep. Sleep has still been hard just laying on my back I can't wait till I can side sleep!
No regrets and I will be carrying on day to day :)

Well It's been two weeks since I changed my...
Well It's been two weeks since I changed my stomach for life! I finally wore pants for the first time today. Granted the days not even half over I think I am doing well in them. The swelling has gone down a bit that people have noticed my stomach is no longer there. I see my surgeon today and he is going to be putting some surgical tape over my scar that I will be able to massage gently for a week and finally be able to put some type of treatment or something over it. Anyone have any suggestions?
