Had my 1 week check up today! All went well. I cried on the way home as I walked around the shops for a bit and looked in the mirrors and thought my boobs looked smaller than they were before (with old bra on) but I've since come home and taken some photos and I think the Macom bra is making them look smaller.

You look amazing girl, I went with dr Sarakbi at Harley Medical one year ago and I've been depressed ever since, hate them so much and now need to get a second opinion

My macom I-bra definitely makes them look smaller! Yours will too...it's a compression bra! Thay means squishing and flattening. Don't worry. Maube you should get a normal sports bra for wearing sometimes. I usually wear a normal sports bra during the day, if not a normal underwire bra, and my macom at night, to bed, only. As far as the size... they look very good for how early on you are. And it IS very early. I still had boxy-bodybuilder boobs at 6 weeks. And they should begin the fluffing process soon too. Mine started fluffing the first time around week 9 or 10, I think. And have fluffed at least 3 times since then. I have grown a total of 3-4 inches in the fullest part of my breasts since surgery. Or more. That's from when I first taped myself. I would advise you to take a week or so off from looking at anyone else's implants and from looking in the mirror. It helps us to focus on the bad stuff when we look too often at our ever changing boobies, and at other people's bigger boobs! So, take a few days off. And then look again after a few days or a week and see how they've changed. And taking pictures every week is vital too. It helps you to be able to look back and see all the changes you've had, that are so difficult to see when you're looking at them a lot! It really helped me for the first few months to be able to look back and see how much I was changing and how far I've come from pre-op and day 1! The same is true for you too! You have come so far and you DO have nice boobies now. You just need to stop looking at them for a bit to see how nice they already are. And they WILL get better. Changes happen for up to a year. They are probably mostly dropped by now, but they should start the fluff soon. And that is when the size changes really begin. So, keep your chin up. You look great! It's still very early and you are NOT at your finished look yet! Most of us aren't at our final look for at LEAST 6 months. A year is normal too.
Try to focus on the positive. You have much bigger and fuller and bustier boobs than before surgery, and they look very good for so early post-op! And just wait. You'll see! They are NOT finished yet.

If after a few more weeks you aren't seeing much more change, then you should ask your doctor about massages and what to expect next. You probably should be massaging already, or lifting, or squeezing, etc...depending on doctors orders. It helps soften them up, and promotes the fluff. But aside from that, all you can do is be patient and wait for them to catch up to your racing brain! Hehe.

Really, don't worry. You are looking good and will only look better. I hope you feel a little better about it all. It IS a process and it simply takes time. Have a super day!

Hi everyone,

I had my surgery last Wednesday at the Highgate hospital, all went really well. What I will say is if you are having your surgery at the Highgate hospital then please bear in mind that there is little to no parking (most spaces are taken up by medical professionals) and because of this my partner had to go back to our hotel and I ended up going the whole day alone. I'm not generally a nervous person and I managed to keep myself calm but I did end up spending a long time in my room on my own before my surgery as I had to wait an hour to see my surgeon for reasons I still don't know and it doesn't really bother me now but it wasn't nice being alone for so long at the time.

When I first got to my room I had some health checks from my nurse and I also had to do a pregnancy test, get sized for stockings etc. Mark then came and said hello to me and asked how I was doing, he was very polite as he usually tends to be. He then marked me up and told me to put the gown and stockings on as I'll be going for surgery soon.

I walked down to theatre with a very funny and talkative young lad who actually really helped me to calm down and take my mind off things. I was surprised at how calm I was when I got into the surgery room, it was all very quick from then on as I was asked to lay on the table, they then put the cannula into my hand and all I can remember was chatting with one of the nurses. I remember smelling and tasting something weird just before I went to sleep I think it's a side effect of anaesthesia? Next thing I knew I woke up in another room in my bed.

When I woke up the pain didn't seem that bad at first but slowly got worse, my nurse put some pain killers into my drip and then I was wheeled back to my room where I was told I had to stay until I had eaten something and had a proper wee. But as far as pain goes so far my experience has been completely manageable. Shortly after surgery Mark came to check how I was doing and asked if I had any questions, at the time I was too tired to think of anything so I just said no. He told me that surgery went really well and that I had the 480cc implants that I wanted. the only guidelines he gave me was to rest for a week, take my medicine and don't get my boobs wet. The nurse then helped me put my Macom bra on. Once I'd eaten something (half a banana that I almost threw up), weed and got my meds they said I was ok to go.

The first thing I did when I got back to my hotel was take pictures, I really didn't like the way that they looked, looking back now at the photos I realise just how swollen I was so don't be discouraged if you get this feeling too. I slept like a baby the first night propped up in my bed thanks to the codeine and muscle relaxers.

The next morning when I woke up the pain was definitely worse but still bareble, my muscles were the sorest they have ever been and it felt so wierd to move around, my chest felt so tight and most of the pain was in the middle of chest like someone was standing on my sternum or there was a lot of pressure there or something, it's really not pleasant but it's something I knew i had to deal with if I had this surgery. The second day i had to stop taking codeine and stick to just paracetomol as the codeine made me throw up continuously (throughout the whole journey home too).. I'm now on day 5 and I feel great. I have just been resting and I'm not taking painkillers now. It's just very wierd moving around at this point and things are still very tight/pressured but are slowly easing up day by day. I have my one week check up on Wednesday.
