I had my BA 19 years ago and was fortunate enough mot to have had any problems in all that time until I developed a seroma on my right breast. I knew I would need to have the implants out but was really concerned what my boobs would look like afterwards - especially the right one because of the swelling. I was an A cup before my BA.

I am due to have my implants out next Wednesday and am dreading what they are going to look like afterwards. I have had ongoing problems with my left once since they were done 13 years ago and the surgeon has said they need to come out. After reading the recent publicity surrounding implants I have decided I won't replace them. How are you feeling now?

Hi Katherine thanks for your comment. Like you I didn’t really have a choice to have my implants out. I had the seroma and also discovered I had PIP implants! I was relieved to get them out in the end and I’m not going to replace mine either. My boobs actually look a lot better than I thought they would! They are bigger than before I had the implants - though still an A cup - and I have to say that I’m really pleased with the outcome and relieved that everything was ok. I really love the natural looking me now!

The best of luck with your surgery next week. I hope it goes well and that you’re happy with the results. The majority of women on this site who have had their implants removed seem happy so I hope that’s true for you too! Good luck and let me know how you get on.
