Exactly 3 months post
Hi ladies! As of Jan 10, I'm officially 3 months post. I haven't noticed much of a change since last month. I haven't been consistent with working out but I do feel that it helped me lose an inch or 2 around my waist. I'm going to try to do better this yr. I have been wearing this 1 piece compression garment & I feel like this is the only one that gives me good support all over. Whenever I go without wearing a cg, i have horrible swelling & I get this big bulge at the top of my stomach right below my breasts. It's hard & I wonder if it will ever go away? The cg controls that issue as long as im wearing it. The bottom of my stomach & my belly button is still very numb. I stopped putting the ear plug in my belly button because it's only a temp fix. Whenever I remove the ear plug, my BB shrinks right back. I think I should've started doing that earlier before it healed all the way. I am unhappy with my BB because its so small & it looks un natural. My Dr expressed his concern with my BB at my last visit, he said he wanted to watch it. I go back in a couple of weeks & I'm sure he's going to talk about a revision. Overall, I'd say that I wish that I had gotten some lipo because sometimes my belly still feels fat but I can say that it's 85% better than how I started out. I'm going to try my best to continue to eat right & work out consistently for better results.
Can't wait for this swelling to go away!
Hi everyone. Today, I'm 8 wks post. I went to the Dr last week & he said he didn't like how my belly button was shrinking since it's been healing.he told me to stick my finger in it & massage it so it can stretch a little. Since my nails are long, that doesn't work but after some research on RS, I found that the little soft ear plugs really gets the job done! I've been using this method for almost a week & I can see the difference. I cut it half & stuck it in my BB & then put my binder on to hold it place. I do this whenever I'm at home just sitting around the house. Other than my BB & the swelling, I'm still very satisfied with my results!
Allergic Reaction to surgical tape on incision
Hey everyone! I'll try to make this short. So my belly button finally healed up about a week or 2 after I posted my concern I was having. Unfortunately at 3 weeks post, I had an allergic reaction to the glue in the surgical tape that my Dr. Had changed the week before. There were little red bumps all across my incision from hip to hip. It was so scary because it was itching really bad but I couldn't scratch. The Dr I formed me that it was an allergic reaction & told me not to put any creams or ointments on it but to take benadryl for a few days. I did so & it slowly faded away but the scars from the rash left my pretty little incision very dark & ugly. I know that over time it will heal but because of the allergic reaction, I am terrified to start any scar therapy. As time goes on, I'll see how it heals & decide if I need any treatment. The area around my belly button & right on top of my incision is still very numb. I have gotten feeling back on my sides though. The bottom of my stomach & right above my navel is very hard. Did I mention numb? It's a weird feeling. I'm still swollen most of the time. I think the swelling got so bad because I couldn't wear my compression garment for almost 2 wks. Even though I had a minor issue, I'm still happy about my results & I definitely don't regret my decision.
