Well, I wish I could say that everything went 100% perfect with my implant, but it did not. About 6 months after surgery the implant started to ride up, and eventually started pressing on my mental is muscles and nerves :(. It was affecting my smile and my lower lip started to get tingly and numb. Dr Chase and I gave it a little while to see if it would resolve, and used a steroid shot, but unfortunately it did not. So last week I had it removed.
Funny thing is I don't look much different without it, must be the scar tissue. All is not lost :)
I would offer a word of caution to those who are considering the Medpor/intra oral combo. There is a higher chance of the implant riding up to high, and once it's in place (in the right or wrong place) it's very difficult to remove. If I had it to do again I would go Silicone and under the chin with a screw.
All in all I enjoyed the temporary results, but it wasn't worth the discomfort. Good thing is the scar tissue is helping me out a bit :)
Good luck to everyone takin this journey, and take all the advice you can get from people in here. Life's a chance, play every time you can.

5 weeks out, last review
It's been 5 weeks since the chin implant, here's some final thoughts. I love the results, and my confidence has gone up because of it. I love that I can wear a beard and a cap better. There was some bad. It hurt worse than I thought it would, and it took longer to start feeling better than I thought.
Would I do it again, yes! But with more realistic expectations. Here's a couple of photos to end with. Thanks for all the support and compliments. Best of luck to all of you!

1 month out
Pain is a lot better, still feel it if I overdo it, but getting better. Thought I would post a quick front shot. Got a couple more for those thinking about it, then I'll sign off.
