I was always thin but gained weight my freshman year in college, 40 pounds, then I lost it all back and was thinner and in better shape than when I was in highschool. I was a 32 waist in highschool and am a 31 now. But the weight gain and subsequent loss had left me with muffin top fat deposits I absolutely height. Above my navel I'm pretty happy, below my waist I'm happy, between the two I hate it.
I've always thought lipo ended up looking weird or bad on men, they take too much fat away and it looks unnatural. Coolsculptings more moderate even reduction seemed better and most result photos I have seen look natural. I also thought I was a good candidate since I just had these small localized areas I wanted contoured.
The place I went wasn't very busy so I was able to get right in. They got their machine 6 months ago only. I paid 3600 for 6 treatments (left front lower, right front lower, upper and lower left flank, upper and lower right flank).
So far I have only had the lower abdomen done. I go in in two days for the flanks.
During the application first it got cold, then in minutes 5 to 10 in felt like it was burning, like a chemical burn, then it faded. The massage afterward hurt. It was weird feeling my flesh be sorta gummy like playdoh.
I was pretty active that day with few complaints, the next day the swelling set in and my abdomen ballooned in size, and it hurt. Especially bouncing or going down stairs, or sitting for a long time in tight pants, or any pressure placed.
I'm now day 4 and swelling has started to go down, but the nerves are waking up and it both hurts and itches internally. The outside of my skin is mostly still numb and has no sensation, but the inside is itchy. It's weird and not very pleasant. I know it's the nerves healing.

Day 5 on abdomen, day one for flanks
GawainApril 6, 2017
Had trouble sleeping for the first time last night. This one nerve on the right side of my lower abdomen is very angry at me. It has gotten progressively worse throughout the day. Driving or sitting is nearly unbearable, every once in awhile it just flares up randomly and feels like I'm being stabbed by a light saber.
So because of this I popped a vicodin this morning before I went in to have my flanks done. I had 4 total rounds, two to each love handle, again by Erica who is awesome. It took 3 hours and 15 minutes from walking in the door to walking out. Overall it was much more comfortable and less painful than the lower abdomen. It could have been the vicodin, it could have been I had more fat here than my lower abdomen, or it could just have been my unique physiology.
The swelling on my lower abdomen is much reduced.. but that nerve pain is driving me nuts.

Day 2 flanks, day 6 abdomen

My flanks dont hurt unless something really hard pushes against them. They feel like two big inflated pillows. Overall I feel like I'm wearing an inflatable tube around my midsection. I'm definitely not wearing belts and am choosing loose pants to wear.
The nerve pain is still very intense on that one side. It gets set off when sitting or bending over. Standing and laying is usually okay. I think I just got unlucky. The left side is fine, but this spot an inch down and to the right of my navel is home to one pissed off nerve.
My flanks may be big squishy pillows but my lower abdomen is getting harder and denser. Not squishy swelling anymore. I'm not sure what that means.
